Going On An Adventure Day 2

So after landing at Miami yesterday and driving to Ft Lauderdale we checked in to the very lovely Pillars hotel. Here I am by the pool.

We had breakfast on the waterfront. Beautiful views.

I booked us on the Carrie B 11am cruise. We had Jack Daniels each and somehow this didn't seem too early in the day to be starting on the booze 😁 we are on holiday after all.

The cruise was great. Saw loads of ridiculously big houses.

And some big boats.

The lady doing the cruise talk was in awe of this house cos the whole ground floor was the kitchen. Sounds like too much cleaning to me...

The tour went all the way to the Atlantic port and there were a couple of very big cruise ships at the docks.

This $22 million mansion was a wedding present to a very lucky lady from her uncle!

We rounded day 2 off with a walk to Ft Lauderdale beach, just a few minutes from the hotel. It was Saturday night and there was a lot of posing going on. A bit like Whitley Bay, only the temperature was hotter than the surface of the sun.

Thanks all for the comments, the cruise and the houses were certainly eyepopping, particularly since most are holiday homes (i.e. second homes to slum at for a few weeks before returning to the main house!).

Hotel looks great and all the photos look fab. I’m having a bit giggle at the Whitley Bay comment. I wish I had a rich uncle who would buy me a house there or in Ft Lauderdale!
