Going On An Adventure Day 5

Today was planned to be shopping and chill. But change of plan... After a slow start which involved me finding a cockroach in the bathroom, I was ready and went to get some bagels and coffee from hotel shop, request emergency insect removal (I just bravely dropped a towel on it), and then we headed to Islands of Adventure. Got in about 10am and rode Forbidden Journey twice.

Did some exploring Hogsmeade.

It was a beautiful morning!

And not as busy as yesterday. Two rides on Forbidden Journey got Adrian a bit queasy so we headed to Jurassic area and got some breadsticks.

Then we took a slow walk to Spiderman. We were going in the opposite direction to most, and lots of people were walking with their nose to their screens, so we had to watch out for the oblivious. Spiderman was very fun.

It had rained while we were in Spiderman. We walked past Hulk and stopped at Starbucks for a coffee. Just people watching and having a slow day. Perfect stuff. I managed to persuade Adrian in to Cat in the Hat after that.

The weather forecast was for heavy rain at 2, and it was about 1pm, so we decided to go to the cinema. Adrian nipped back to the hotel for glasses while I got tickets. We watched Incredibles 2, which was fun, then back to the hotel for a shower. We took the side entrance by the pool and had a wander round to see what it was like.

Refreshed and rested, we used our free drinks vouchers in the Velvet Lounge. On the left is my Long Island Iced Tea. On the right is Adrian's Good n Gone. Stupidly nice so ordered the same again. Was therefore tipsy before heading to Hard Rock Cafe for tea. Had a voucher on Avios for entree, dessert and soft drink. Two diet cokes helped to sober me up 😁 had same veggie burger as last time. The second round of drinks at the hotel had put us behind schedule for food and so we didn't end up going into the park for the Cinematic Spectacular. A lovely evening though 😁
