Going On An Adventure Day 7

So yesterday we made a list of the universal stuff still to do, and stuff to do again. The list was long so we were up and out fairly early today. There was a line for security on the path from the Hotel, for the first time 😐. We head in to Universal Studios and ride Gringotts first, then the Mummy twice.

Followed by Simpson's, Transformers twice, and then a photo with Puss in Boots. Which was a nice first 😁. Then Rip Ride Rocket which I totally didn't want to do but... It was scary and shaky and Adrian loved it.

Oh we stopped for pics with the Shark after Transformers.

By 10.45 we were done in Universal Studios! Over to Islands of Adventure and an obligatory stop at Starbucks to refuel and people watch. Drinks were ready pretty quick but I waited for the food for so long that Newcastle managed to sign a new player before my sandwiches were ready 🤣. We also shared a cinnabon 😁. So much sugar!

Full of calories, we headed to Spiderman. It was fairly quick with the Express pass and the guy sat next to me was really whooping and enjoying it 😁 (I don't mean Adrian). Then another first. Considering I don't like drops, Adrian did really well to persuade me onto Dr Doom. I'm glad there isn't a ride photo 🤤.

Hmmm. Not sure whether I took this in the queue at Dr Doom. Anyway the only things left on the list now were Hulk and the water rides. So off to Hulk we went. Put our stuff in lockers. Joined express queue. 10 mins in and they announce Hulk is shutting for rain. All our remaining rides are outdoors so we decide to wait. And wait. And wait. It chucked down. It stopped. The sun came out. Still no movement in the queue. After an hour 😣 they finally openback up and we are launched around some really crazy loops. This ride is totally awesome! By the time we get to the ride photo area they have shut Hulk again and it starts raining.

We stop by Bluto's to get a bottle of pop. I checked the Universal app and all the water rides are shut. We decide to head back to the Hotel, grabbing a coffee and snack on the way to the room.

After a rest and a shower we head back out. Tea was pizza from red oven, mushroom for me and pepperoni for Adrian. Then we had a few cheeky rides on our last evening at Universal. Starting with ET. Then Gringotts.

The park looked great all lit up.

We also went on the Mummy, and Despicable Me, before getting our prints and poster as part of the 5 day package which we bought in advance. Here's a close up of the pic I got of us on the Mummy. That and Gringotts 😁 the two kids behind us in the photo aren't too amused...
