Going On An Adventure Day 14

Today was a chill morning involving a lie in, laundry, lazing by the pool, a walk by the river, a nice salad for lunch and then we finally headed to Magic Kingdom just after 3pm. FP 1 was Haunted Mansion.

FP 2 was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in the very back row, and then our FP3 was Jungle Cruise. Before Jungle Cruise we nipped and had a pineapple float. Very refreshing. Today was a scorcher!

We headed to the front of the park via the shops, and as we got to the very end of the shops the parade started, so we jumped outside to watch that. Mr Incredible was on his own, Elastagirl must have been busy saving the world.

We then took a scenic tour right around the park on the railway.

The railway trip meant we could time it quite nicely for a monorail hop to the Contemporary for our dinner at The Wave. We had a bit of a look around the resort.

And checked out the cocktails at the bar 😁

This was a really lovely meal. Food was definitely on a par with The Boat House. I had seared potato gnocchi, Adrian had braised beef short rib.

We then went up to the 8th floor and watched Happily Ever After. Wow. Amazing end to a lovely day. No rain stopped play! Back to the resort via monorail to MK and then a bus, driven by the very chirpy Bernard 😀
