Going On An Adventure Day 16

Another lie in to 9. Today was Adrian's birthday 😁 We had breakfast of grapes and yoghurt, he opened presents, and then we caught the bus to Hollywood Studios. FP1 was Toy Story Mania, and Adrian beat me but it was close until the final round.

Then our next FP was open, for Rock n Rollercoaster, but on the way we stopped for iced coffee and a snack, chocolate donut for me and cookie for Adrian. I couldn't eat it all! The queue for RNR was slow, some technical hitches, but once we were on it was awesome!

The wait time for Tower of Terror was only 15 mins so I agreed we could go on this again...

It made a change to go through the standby queue.

Here's me on the way out of Toy Story Mania earlier.

Lots of staff said Happy Birthday to Adrian 😁 Our last FP was Star Tours. We went from gate F and saw a new version! It was really amazing, the best one yet. Then a bit of down time at the Backlot Restaurant where Adrian had a chilli hotdog and I had the vegetable Caprese sandwich. Then we did Muppets 3 D.

I quite like these Sally ears! After a look round the Muppets shop, which is also the best place I've found for Nightmare Before Christmas stuff, we took a look at the displays about the new Star Wars area in One Mans Dream.

We left HS about 3pm, got the bus back to the resort to rest and get ready for dinner. I had booked Celebration Town Tavern for 8pm, Adrian always chooses Celebration when deciding what to do on his birthday.

After a rest and freshen up, and a few beers for Adrian, we headed off to Celebration. I got to drive. Got there about 7.30pm and had a stroll around the lake.

Here we are at Celebration Town Tavern. I had reserved earlier in the day by email, and mentioned Adrian was having his birthday. We were served by the lovely Cooper and given a booth. We got to chat and watch baseball and reminisce about our other meals here. We had potato skins to share, then I had black bean burger with fries and Boston beans, Adrian had bison burger with the same sides. We were too full to share a dessert, which was the original plan. But then Cooper brought us a birthday sundae complete with candle! A lovely touch. If you haven't yet tried this place then I would highly recommend it. A short drive back and I was finally able to have a cider and Adrian opened the bottle of wine I got him. A really lovely day 😁
