There is a very large number of people that do not think there will be free dining offered for 2020. There was far less available for 2019 and with Galaxy Edge opening many think Disney will not need to offer it to fill rooms

If they do offer it it’ll be near the end of April.

It's usually the third week in April, but again, this actually could be the year that they stop it because of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. We shall see. Fingers crossed for you and everyone that they offer it.

I'll be devastated if they stop it as it would mean an end to our on-site visits.

Disney really is very, very expensive these days.

Was there less available for the UK than previously? I know they mess about with it for the US but I thought it was available for UK guests from April to November as in previous years? Apart from SSR, I know they restricted it there.

I haven’t been since 2014 so apologies if I am wrong!

All the podcasts and websites are predicting that free dining may be further restricted or disappear altogether for US guests. However, the UK is a different market (and not one of their biggest). We book earlier and stay longer, so they like to keep us sweet.

Availability of rooms for this year was certainly more restricted than it's been previously, and OKW and SSR had an earlier check in cut off date in September (24th I think), whereas it's 30th November for all other resorts, so people wanting October and November stays with free dining couldn't book there.

We are looking for 2020 and really hoping for free dining. We wouldn't stay at Disney without it.
