A term time, post uni trip to Salou. October 2019. Travel home and final thoughts.

Thursday 10th October

We woke early, the first alarm this holiday. I finished up packing and took our bags down to breakfast.

I also took a couple of chocolate donuts which were delicious.
The bus timetable said it was due just before 9 so we headed to the bus stop. A few other people came and they were told different times, the bus came just after 9, still in plenty of time for our 11.40 flight. It took about 15 minutes and cost a little less than the way here, €5.30 for both of us.
The airport was quiet and we went straight through security. My miniatures did get looked but more to see if if they were under 100mls.
It’s a tiny airport.

These are the bags we took.

We looked in the duty free shop and brought some large milka chocolate bars for Dd. €7 for 2 bars. I popped my toiletries and miniatures in the duty free bag and again I didn’t have any problem with Ryan Air.
The flight left on time and it was good. I managed to sleep most of the way home.
Matts passport didn’t scan at the self scanners, this always happens!
We had to wait for a long stay bus which took about 5 minutes. We were the first drop off as well.
The car started which is always a relief and we were on our way.
Another uneventful journey home, we popped in to see my mum on the way back and it was nice to be back at a decent time.

It was a little strange without Dd for the first time and we did miss her but actually it was still a lovely break and we both needed to relax and unwind.
We loved the bike ride and slower pace. The hotel was great as always. The weather was amazing, so much better than half term week.
Having a Dibb meet made my holiday as well, especially talking about our dds going off to uni and how we were coping.

Next up Matt and I have another little break in Benalamadena with friends in November and his belated 40th trip to Orlando in January.
We have booked a family trip back to Salou next June for us, Dd and her bf. Flights were under £300 for us all and hotel £800 AI for 2 rooms.
