Virgin Upgrade price

Hey we booked Virgin PE rtn flights for Sep next year, and more than happy to go PE but as we booked via Netflights I am just wondering if anybody has ever gotten a cheap upper class upgrade when booked through a 3rd party?

I dont know why but I assumed any good upgrade prices would be only for ppl who booked direct but hopefully im wrong...
The upgrade prices has went from £1256, to £1789 and now £11750 each and no way am I paying anywhere near that!

Not a 100% sure but I think you have to upgrade via the company you booked with?

If the upgrade price is that high it would suggest to me that the flight(s) may be very busy which would mean no cheap upgrades. Depending on the route there are as few as 14 seats in UC so they fill up quickly.
