Sleigh bells ring, are you listening, Day 9, Disney Springs
We’re up at 6.38! Richard keeps trying to sleep later but it’s not happening!
We decide that as the weather is predicted to be in the 80’s today we’ll go to Disney Springs. Traffic nice and easy when we left at 9, the shops don’t open till 10 but Starbucks will be open! Soon see this! We park in the Orange garage and get a disabled space right near the escalator. We get down by the fountain and Richards discovers he’s left his phone in the car, I go back for it as it’ll take me much less time! First stop Starbucks for a Cappuccino and a White Chocolate Mocha. We drink them sitting in the sun people watching. Pretty flowers! We notice a bag left on a chair opposite us, I know the lady who has left it, I held the door open for her at Starbucks! We’re just about to go and pick it up when a lady walks past and picks it up as she passes and heads for the toilet. The bag owner appears and we say we saw who took it and where she went. The lady comes out of the loos with the bag and actually stands by the chair where she picked it up. I go over with the owner and the lady who has it asks her what’s the name on the credit cards. Bag reunited! I did say to the lady who had it that she didn’t look like a bag thief! We wander round in the sun, it’s an absolutely gorgeous day. We pop into Goofys Candy Cauldron, the smell in here is just so sweet, pure sugar! And Ghiradelli, has to be done! It’s getting busy now and it’s after 12 so we head to Jock Lindsay’s for cocktails. It’s 5 o clock somewhere! We sit outside by the water in the sun. I have a Fountain of Youth and Richard has a Santa Hat Mojito. We have a couple of flatbreads to share. Our bill is $45, pretty expensive but it’s not like we do this every day! Still Christmas here! We head home calling at a kitchen shop on the way, looking at cupboard doors! Quick stop at Publix for drinks, chicken and we buy some jacket potatoes for tea. It’s 84 degrees so we sit by the pool for a couple of hours. A quiet evening in with ice cream for dessert. TTFN xx |

Selina. The sun shines on those who have worked hard. Nice day and a beatiful blue sky.
To top it off a view across the lake of SSR, what more could you ask for. Jock Lindsays isn't cheap but it's a nice place to pop into for a drink and snacks. We had a Dibb meet there in November albeit it was cold! Ghirardelli - has to be done. I have had some of those Fountain of Youth drinks, sadly they didn't work.

Look at that beautiful blue sky...sigh. Sounds like you made the most of such a gorgeous day. Those cocktails and flatbreads looks very nice.
Very jealous of you going into Ghiradelli although we might have had an ice cream sundae too... |

So glad the woman got her bag back, having left mine twice on the last trip I know how much of a relief it is to get it back!
Disney Springs is so pretty, another beautiful day, well deserved too X
