A small business Christmas

Hi!

I’m looking to spend less this year with large retailers, and buy more from local shops or from the likes of small businesses on Instagram/Etsy etc. I was hoping people would share things that they’ve seen that would make nice gifts that fit into this. I’ve just bought some wax melts from someone locally and I follow a few people on IG who make lovely things so I’ll share some of them on here. So please share with us if you know of any places that have unique gifts!

(I’m also not self-promoting anything that I post, I don’t have the time or the skills to have my own business!)

This lady makes cute Christmas decorations and in the past I’ve bought these badges that my daughters would wear every year when they were younger, they were well worth it as we got use out of them.

Such a lovely idea. One of my colleagues started making wax melts during lockdown, so might get some to go in the stocking I make for my sister.

Great thread

I never visit a butchers, but wondered about putting an order in for a joint of meat at a butchers.

Or how about sourcing a local baker for some festive cakes

Yea I’ll definitely be ordering some treats, we’ve got a good selection of people locally who bake.

I wouldn’t really have a need for a butcher but we have a greengrocer so that would be good to use!

I really like the work this small business produce. I placed my first order with them last week so can’t review just yet, but I am excited for my delivery .

I also buy from a lovely lady who sells Scentsy. She is a mum of 2, always happy to send out free samples and is just a really reliable and genuine person. If anyone is interested I can point you in her direction

I've bought some lovely Disney inspired wax melts from an Etsy seller , she regularly refreshes her stock. The smell from the box is amazing !

I have ordered the trio of hearts in silver. My boss is also buying his first home next week, he is Italian and so I have ordered ‘Home’ in Italian for him.
