Disney fast pass info

I read on here somewhere that Disney may make it that you have to purchase a fast pass. Does anyone have info on this? We have just one Disney day and I don't want to book a hotel just to get the 60 day access to park rides.

Any talk of fastpasses st the moment is pure speculation. Disney haven't even announced if they are coming back at all so far.

As above, pure speculation , at this stage nothing would surprise me about Disney going forward! But IMO they won't be back until capacity hit's at least 75%, FP queues means more CM's at that's wages!

Surely they will have to be back for 1st October same with most of the other entertainment etc?

As mentioned you never know what will happen, it could be announced in a week or in months. I’m not sure they can get enough staff organised and trained up at this point to bring it back even if they wanted to!

Nothing official anywhere. Just rumours, strong ones that there may be changes including a paid version but it’s all speculation.

This has been talked about for years. It’s just resurfaced because FP are off just now and there’s no mention of them returning. So obviously that means paid for FP and there couldn’t possibly be any other possibility.

There is no info. It's just a rumour.

At the moment, the fastpass+ system is not running at WDW. Disney hasn't said when it will return. That's about all we can say for definite at the moment.

Maybe, maybe not. (Probably)

Has it been officially announced that all the other entertainment is coming back?

As far as I'm aware Disney hasn't even said that there will be fireworks or character meets for the 1st October. All they've announced for the 50th Anniversary celebrations so far is twinkly lights on the 4 park icons, Mickey and Minnie will get new costumes, and the Ratatouille ride will open.

I'm expecting these things, including fastpasses, to come back at some point. But we don't know when yet so it's all just rumours at the moment.

Wouldn't you just hate Disney to follow the Universal route? All completely speculation as others have said. At the moment it would be the same as saying that every 3rd Thursday of the month is free admission... there... I've just speculated that!

Imagine if Disney only gave free Fastpass's to people staying at the top onsite resorts - Like Universal do at Hard Rock and Lowes.

Walt would spin in his grave (yes yes... I know he was cremated but that doesn't work! ).

I think a lot of people would love it if Disney offered "Express passes" with all the same features and benefits. Lots of DIBBers seem to like Universal's fastpass system and won't visit Universal without Express passes (usually obtained by booking a stay at one of its deluxe resorts). So I assume they would like it if Disney did the same?

Of course, if Disney did do this then there would still be lots of complaints about Disney being "greedy".
