ATD V WDTC Quandry!

My existing booking for ASMo and tickets is £3160 (no dining credit)
This is direct with Disney.
To make a new booking with dining credit it’s £3217.
Have seen people rebooking with ATD, so just had a look out of curiosity.. same booking with dining credit is £3147.

I feel better option is to contact Disney and sort out new booking with dining credit. Looking at ATD, fine, it’s cheaper and you get an extra $50 but you don’t appear to get the free Memory Maker, but you do get free magic band!

Thoughts please! ?

The memory maker is included with the ultimate ticket.

I have changed my booking this weekend to ATD

Ah right, it’s not clear on ATD. Might push my decision that way then 😃

Cashback from one of the cashback sites will help reduce the WDTC price a bit.

So, if you can cancel without cost, you could re-book online and get the best part of £100 cashback.

Disney is 3% on Quidco, which is around £95 on original booking. ATD is 1.25% so would be around £30+ on new booking. So approximately £100 saving (accounting for the extra $50 gift card) plus £30 with ATD is £130.
Rough maths! 😉

will you lose your deposit if you cancel with disney?

I looked at atd as we could have had the $50 extra credit and magic bands(though not fussed on starwars ones) plus it was £50 cheaper and the deposit is only £50 but went with disney direct in the end as by time I take into account cash back and how easy they are to deal with if you have any problems there wasn't enough in it to make adt enough of a better deal.

I’ve emailed Disney as I’m hoping to utilise 5% Blue Light Card discount too. So ultimately, if Disney don’t cause me any issues then I’ll continue with them otherwise I might go with the alternative option of cancelling and booking with ATD.
But we shall see...

What is ASMo? I thought I knew all the abbreviations, but cannot think what this is.

Of to your question, for these small differences, I would definitely stick with a WDTC booking.

I'm trying to cancel my Disney booking for this exact reason. I don't think you loose the deposit with Disney no but can't confirm until I finally get some sort of response - you have to email in to cancel and I emailed Thursday but nothing so far
