Team Bricki’s Second Wedding Anniversary- From Orlando to erm……. Leeds

A bit of a random report but we took lots of food pics so it might be of interest to some of you

So last week we were supposed to be on our second wedding anniversary holiday in America with lockdown ending slightly, we wanted to do something to celebrate. Our favourite hobby is eating and drinking cocktails so why not stick to what we know and love. We chose Leeds as it isn’t too far from us and is a small but nice city with a great food and drink scene. While Boris was still announcing the road map I got straight onto the Radisson Blu website and booked our hotel- a move that paid off as I paid £75 per night and it is now £150 per night for most weekends in 2021!
We booked lunch and dinner with cocktail bars in between. The weather wasn’t amazing which was a shame as we would have liked to just have a wander around in our free time. However we still had a fabulous mini break- we ate some fantastic food, had some great cocktails at the indie bars and experienced some lovely service from people who were so grateful to be back at work. Now we need to go on a serious diet on the off chance the borders open and we can actually get on our anniversary trip in September!

Wednesday 19th May
We finished work and rushed home to get showered and changed, ready to get the train over to Leeds. We checked into the Radisson to find out that we had received an upgrade to a Superior Room, which was a lovely surprise. I completely forgot to take pictures of the room but it was gorgeous- really big and spacious with fluffy bathrobes and slippers, and a big TV that we could play all our subscription services to! We get up between 3.30-4am for work so it was past our teatime by the time we arrived in Leeds and dinner wasn’t booked until 8.30pm so Brett decided we needed a pre-tea tea!
It was actually a nice evening so we headed down to Call Lane and sat outside the amazing Neon Cactus. This is an independent Mexican street food spot that do delicious tacos, burritos, nachos and Margaritas!

We were greeted with a welcome back shot of Tequila with a chaser.

We shared the Chicken Burrito, which was absolutely loaded with filling and came with a delicious broth for dipping.

We also had Queso Fundido (Cajun Nachos with Jalapeno and Queso Dip). These were salty and spicy, the dip was hot and made from proper melted cheese rather than liquid cheese, delicious!

For cocktails we had San Pedro (Cachaca, Cardamom, Lemon, Cloudy Apple, Angostura Bitters)

and Underdog (Pineapple infused Tequila, Sweet Vermouth, Pimento Dram).

We usually have the Margaritas here so went a little different this time- both were very nice!

We headed back to the hotel to quickly get changed for dinner and decided to have a cocktail at another of Leeds amazing independent bars- The Watermark. We are running out of cocktail bars to try in Leeds but The Watermark is one we haven’t discovered before but what a find! The bar is small and cosy with amazing quirky decor. The bartenders are so friendly and really knowledgeable about what flavours work well together. The menu they have created is so unique and they put so much effort into the elements that go into each drink. We love how they infuse extra flavours into the spirits. We sat at the bar and watched them prepping all the ingredients for the weekend. It was great learning about the history of the bar and how it started in the owners kitchen. We love it when bars are passionate about what they do and create.

Brett started with his signature drink- Espresso Martini (Cognac, Fig Liqueur, Demerara, Espresso, Chocolate Web)

He declared this version one of the best he has ever tried. It was made with Cognac rather than vodka, which is one of his favourite spirits, and combined with the fig, it was on the sweeter side rather than bitter.

I started with Boomtingaling (Strawberry and Tarragon infused Appleton Blanco Rum, Lime Sherbert, Absinthe, Ginger Beer. Garnished with Vanilla Icecream and Lemon Crumb)

This was one of my favourite cocktails of the whole weekend- it was so tangy and tart, yet refreshing at the same time- it reminded me of the traditional pink lemonade you used to get as a kid

Brett said his aim of our weekend away was to try different food and drink that he wouldn’t usually order so he went for the Spiced Negroni (Tanqueray Gin, Campari, Cocchi D’ Torino Vermouth, Infused with Black Tea, Hibiscus, Beetroot, Carrot & Rose, Garnished with Strawberry Mist)

He really enjoyed this, the spice tea mix is sourced locally and comes through really well in the drink, I know we haven’t even had summer yet but it reminded us of all the flavours that you associate with xmas!

I also went for something unusual for me and chose a drink that was a little bitter as well as sweet. I really enjoyed this, I love anything with strawberry, it was refreshing and I would definitely order it again.
PA PA L’AMERICANO (Cocchi Rosa Vermouth, Campari, Strawberry Balsamic Shrub, Soda. Garnished with Dried Grapefruit and Strawberry Mist)

Quickly becoming Brett’s other signature drink is the Old Fashioned- this one was a little different as it had subtle hints of banana in the rum so was on the sweeter side and easier to drink.
OLD FASHIONED #2 (Banana Infused Goslings Black Seal, Appleton Signature Blend, Smith & Cross, Plantation 5yr. Watermark Bitters & Demerara Sugar)

We were definitely ready for dinner now and headed over for our main anniversary meal at Gaucho. We were originally booked in to try The Man Behind The Curtain by Michael O’Hare but we discovered a lot of bad reviews about the drinks options so decided to cancel. They only offer Gin and Tonic or Wine at the table, neither option is something we really like and there was no leeway with this (even though they have a full bar for before the meal). We have a deposit valid until November so we may change our minds and give it a go later in the year (and drink £10 water!)

Anyway, onto Gaucho- we wouldn’t usually opt for a chain but we love steak so definitely wanted to try a high end restaurant that specialises in this. This is an Argentinian steak restaurant too so we were really excited to sample this as it is very similar to Brazilian food. One thing we noticed straight away when we arrived was how well the staff had been trained, the service from start to finish was very professional. All the servers were amazing, they were friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about all the menu. They explain in great detail about the different cuts of steak, how to have them cooked, how lean or fatty they are. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning, modern, funky and fantastic lighting if you like to take pictures of your food. The chairs are designed to look like cow skin.
And most importantly, the food is absolutely fantastic. The steak was absolutely perfect, cooked very well, high quality cuts and not over seasoned so you could really appreciate the flavour of the meat. The steak cut through like butter- we didnt even get a proper steak knife, thats how easy it was to cut. We highly recommend eating at Gaucho, it is the perfect experience for a special occasion.

We started with the Bread Basket while we decided what to eat. I am so glad we ordered this as it had Pan De Bono (Columbian Cheese Bread). This was pretty much the same as my absolute favourite bread of all time, Pao De Queijo (Brazilian Cheese Bread) from the Brazil booth at Epcot. It was dense and full of melted cheesey goodness. The other bread was Sourdough Bagetini and it was served with Butter and Chimichurri. The bread was literally piping hot and didn’t go cold at all. The butter was soft and spreadable anyway but it just melted on each piece of bread.

The starters here are on the smaller side but dont let that put you off as they need to be light due to the size of the steak, which should be the main focus of the meal. I was wary of ordering a starter as i wanted to enjoy the steak so they are the perfect size for that. The two we sampled were packed with strong flavours.
I chose the Seared Diver Scallops (Spiced Mango Puree, Red Pepper Sauce, Nduja Crumb). Perfectly caramelised on the outside and the Ndjua crumb had a strong kick of heat

Brett loves a Tartare so had to sample the Tuna Ceviche (Avocado Puree, Pickled Shallots, Sweetcorn, White Soy and Apricot Vinegar Dressing). This was really light and refreshing, fish and avocado pair beautifully together

Onto the main event-
The Gaucho Sampler.
CUADRIL (Rump)
ANCHO (Ribeye)
CHORIZO (Sirloin)
LOMO (Fillet)

We were blown away by this- we were expecting a piece of each cut each but we actually got two pieces each. You basically get 4 full size steaks totalling over a kilo in weight. You also get two large portions of homemade chips included. We added a side of Garlic and Lemon Spinach as well as a Blue Cheese Hollandaise. We love blue cheese and this was really subtle so it didn’t overpower the steak- the sauce itself was more like a butter so it worked perfectly. I normally refuse to have my steak cooked any other way than rare but our server said medium rare is the best for this to stop the fat on the Ribeye coming out chewy. He was correct as they were nicely charred on the outside but still pink in the middle. If we had to chose one we would say the Fillet was our favourite

We did leave some room for dessert! As a South African, Brett couldnt not try the Dom Pedro (Whipped Icecream, Walnut, Rum). This was a different take on his home country classic but he enjoyed it just as much.

And I had one of my favourite desserts Lemon Meringue Pie with Blackcurrant Sorbet. This was delicious, it was on the tarter side rather than sweet as there was more lemon than meringue

Onto the drinks, the cocktail menu is incredible and very well thought out with a different selection for each part of the meal. Brett actually chose all our cocktails to match all the courses and he did very well in picking exactly what i would have chosen! There is Welcome, Aperitif, Palate Cleanser, With Steak and Dessert. We managed to sample one from each with the exception of With Steak as they were a little on the strong side for me. Brett definitely wants to try the Truffle Old Fashioned next time though! For our choices, I stuck to the fruity and refreshing options but Brett sampled a mixture of short and strong, sweet and creamy drinks. We genuinely enjoyed everything we chose and think Gaucho make really great cocktails that pair really well with each course.

WELCOME
Rhubarb Blush (Ketel One Vodka, Chamboard, Egg White, Lemon Juice, Rhubarb)

WELCOME
Koi Martini (Tanqueray No 10 Gin, stirred over ice with Belsazar Rose Vermouth and Lychee Liqueur, finished with a drop of Absinthe)

APERITIF
Hennessy Julep (Hennessy VS Cognac, Fresh Mint, Served Over Ice)

APERITIF

Still A Shame (Ketel One Vodka, Blood Orange Liqueur, San Pellegrino Blood Orange, Chandon Argentine Sparkling Wine)

PALATE CLEANSER
Scroppino (Refreshing Lemon Sorbet, Tanqueray Gin, Chandon Argentine Sparkling Wine)

PALATE CLEANSER
Strawberry Rosemary Margarita (Don Julio Blanco Tequila, Cointreau, Strawberry Puree, Lime, Rosemary, Agave- Served on the rocks)

DESSERT
Butterscotch Bonbon (Grey Goose Vodka, Butterscotch Schnapps, Limoncello, Lemon Juice, Vanilla)

DESSERT
Argentine Coffee (Ron Zacapa 23 Rum, Banana, Fresh Coffee, with Dulce de Leche Cream Float)

Definitely full (and a little fresh now!) we headed back to the hotel with a takeaway box of steak for Brett to no doubt eat for breakfast the next day!

Thursday 20th May

Today’s first stop was lunch at Raymond Blanc’s restaurant Brasserie Blanc. This is somewhere we have never been before and is at the other end of Leeds- sods law the weather was awful so we had to admit defeat and get an uber. We were warmly greeted by the host and shown to our table. The setting here is lovely and cosy. The menu is French and British inspired and there is a lot of choice- everything sounded amazing. The staff were really friendly and had a good knowledge of the food and drinks on offer. We loved everything we tried and there were many other dishes we could have chosen so we will definitely be back to try more. The cocktail menu was a mixture of classic and summer spritzes- we enjoyed the ones we tried.

We really wanted to try the famous Cheese Soufflé to start but we went for dishes on the lighter side so we could leave room for dessert! We chose Morteau Sausage and Potato Salad (Pan fried Morteau sausage, white wine potato salad, poached free range egg, curly endive, mustard dressing). We wouldn’t usually choose salad but this was really tasty especially the sausage with the runny egg. It is a great lighter option and perfect for spring/ summer.

Potted Cornish Crab, Avocado Guacamole, Prawn Butter, Sourdough Toast

My go to starter is Pate so I decided to try something similar but with fish. This was gorgeous, there was lots of crab and it paired really well with the guacamole- fish and avo are two of my favourite ingredients to combine. I really enjoyed this dish

Roasted Halibut in Champagne (Halibut Steak on the bone, Champagne Sauce, Keta Caviar, Prawn Potatoes with Spring Onion, Spinach and Chive)

I fancied another fish course for my main but couldn’t decide between what was on offer so our server recommended this as it sells out most nights. I can understand why it is so popular- the prawn potatoes are to die for, I love the flavours of spring onion and chive. The rich champagne sauce is like butter and paired really well with the chunky fish. The only downside for me was the bones- obviously I expected the big bone as it is served on the bone but there were lots of little ones too so I had to eat it really carefully and pick them out. This doesn’t take away from the quality of the dish, it is just personal preference. The fish was cooked really well as it just fell off the main piece of bone.

Rump of West Country Lamb (Pea Puree, Minted Peas, Slow Cooked Carrots, Dauphinoise, Confit Garlic)

Brett also couldn’t decide between the meaty dishes but fancied lamb. This was a good quality piece of lamb with a hint of pink (I would have had it a little pinker but when I tried it it tasted really good and was juicy so I would have enjoyed it). The potatoes were creamy on the inside with a lovely crisp on the top.

Pistachio Souffle and Chocolate Icecream

I have been dying to try this dessert since we booked to dine here as it is their signature offering. It wasn’t what I was expecting but I wasn’t disappointed. I thought it would be very heavy on the pistachio flavours but it was baked in rich chocolate too so this came through more. I really enjoyed it, the chocolate flavour was very heavy in contrast to the light airy pistachio. I would order it again

Golden Chocolate Feuilletine (Layered Chocolate Sponge and Mousse, Dark Chocolate Glaze, Hazelnut Cream, Chocolate Sauce, Sweet Black Cherry)

Brett loves his chocolate desserts so this was a no brainer. It was exactly what he wanted, a rich creamy chocolate pudding, and it was delicious!

For cocktails we chose
Espresso Martini (Ketel One Vodka, Tia Maria, espresso)

Dark N Stormy (Gosling’s Dark Rum, Angostura bitters, fresh lime juice, Fever-Tree Naturally Light ginger beer)

Amaretto Sour (Disaronno Amaretto, Angostura bitters, fresh lemon juice, sugar syrup)

Flower Power (St-Germain elderflower liqueur, prosecco, soda water, lemon twist)

Lemon Tease (Limoncello, prosecco, Fever-Tree Naturally Light tonic- which I substituted for Cranberry Juice, lemon wedge)

Brambleberry (Chambord liqueur, prosecco, soda water, blackberries)

Brasserie Blanc was a lovely meal and we didn’t feel overly stuffed just nicely full. We headed back to Call Lane for our reservation at Roland’s Bar. This is somewhere we have never tried before but we did get a few deliveries of their cocktails during lockdown as they made my favourite of all time (Grasshopper). It is a very small cosy bar with a gorgeous outdoor courtyard- we were very lucky that we managed to get a booth by the window (Brett loves to people watch). The weather seemed to put people off so they said we could have the table as long as wanted which was good for us as we were having a late dinner today (and we wanted to try as much of the cocktail menu as possible!). The music here is great and right up our street with lots of classic tunes. The cocktails are delicious, another bar that uses independent suppliers as well as making their own house mixes.

They are famous for their French Martini and Espresso Martini so we had to start with these

French Martini (Raspberry Vodka, Amaretto, Creme de Mure, Creme de Framboise, Pineapple Juice)

Espresso Martini (Vanilla Vodka, Stout Syrup, Expre Liqueur, Cold Brew Coffee)

Even though we enjoy a cocktail or two, we have never tried a Bloody Mary before! I think we thought a spicy savoury drink wouldn’t work, but we were very wrong and pleasantly surprised. We sampled both versions on offer, both super hot but delicious!

Bloody Mary (Vodka, Secret house spice mix, V8 vegetable juice, lemon juice, orange juice, Tabasco, Salted Spice Rim, Garnish)

Michelada (House Spice and Tomato Mix, Tequila, Aylinger Lager)

The other cocktails we enjoyed were
White Russian (Bonomi Vodka, house coffee liqueur, oat milk, vanilla syrup)

Clover Club (Wolfe Bros. Hibiscus and raspberry gin, fresh lemon juice, raspberry syrup, Peychaud's)

Russian Spring Punch (House-made, zero-waste citrus vodka, blackberry liqueur, raspberry syrup, supasawa, white wine, soda)

The Happy Accident (Wolfe Brothers Raspberry & Hibiscus Gin, Raspberry infused Lillet Rose, Lillet Rouge, Campari, Prosecco)

Spagliato (Lillet Rouge Aperitif Wine, Campari, Sparkling Wine, Soda)

Sairen’s Call (Lillet Rose, Sairen Dark Stone, Indian Tonic Water)

After a lovely afternoon it was time for dinner. One of our favourite restaurants in Leeds is Shears Yard so we had to try the Welcome Back menu. They do probably one of the best and most reasonably priced tasting menus there is at £45 for 6 courses (with an optional Oyster course and Cheese course add-on). The setting is more informal than most fine dining places but it is still a beautiful modern environment to enjoy dinner in. The staff are always friendly and attentive- we have had the same server on all 3 of our visits and she is just amazing, always so happy! The food is incredible and each menu is seasonal so we have enjoyed something different everytime. We have sometimes found that repeat visits to places aren’t as good as the first but that is definitely not the case here and we enjoy the whole experience each time we come. We have genuinely enjoyed every single plate of food they put in front of us. They don’t offer a cocktail menu but are always happy to make a Sangria or a Spritz for us, which is always appreciated. Looking forward to trying another menu on our next visit

We started with the optional course- Raw Oyster (Togarashi, Yuzu, Spring Onion)

I love the Bread course here and was so happy that the butter was my favourite from a previous visit- Marmite. Honestly the best butter we have ever tried!

Corn Fed Chicken and Ethical Fois Gras Terrine, Chicken Fat, Chicken Skin, Pickled Shallots, Grapes
Our starter course was delicious, the chicken was so soft and seasoned perfectly. The shallots and grapes gave a sharp tang to the meat

Plaice Fillet poached in Dashi Butter, Salmon Roe, Seaweed Oil, Apple, Cucumber
This was my favourite course of the night. The fish was cooked perfectly and fell apart but the butter really elevated it and added a lovely rich flavour. The salty caviar and seaweed oil paired really well with the other flavours too.

Lamb ‘Dopiaza’ Marinated Rump, Potato and Onion Seed Bahji, Gooseberry Pickle
The main course was like a deconstructed curry and it was delicious! The lamb was thick, tender, easy to cut and cooked a perfect pink. The Bahji was equally delicious and full of strong herbs and spices. This was Brett’s favourite course of the evening and one of the best main courses that we have sampled here.

Pistachio Sponge, Peach, Raspberry, Pistachio Marzipan
Pistachio is one of our favourite flavours to cook with in both savoury and sweet dishes and this dish was no exception. The sponge was soft and moist and the marzipan was super sweet, soft and rich. The tart fruit cut through so it wasn’t too sickly.

Chocolate Brownie, Coffee, Miso, Caramelised White Chocolate
The petit four was the best we have ever sampled here- a rich sticky brownie topped with a thick piece of caramel chocolate (it was like a higher quality version of a Caramac bar).

Another long but enjoyable day, we took a slow walk back to our hotel

Friday 21st May

We were seriously running out of steam with food now as we don’t usually each so much in one go at home, so decided to cancel our dinner reservations for Friday and Saturday night and play it by ear instead. Luckily lunch was on the lighter side today as we were booked in for the Italian Afternoon Tea at our favourite Italian restaurant in Leeds- Livin Italy. This is an independent restaurant in the heart of the city serving authentic Italian cuisine. The Afternoon Tea is a new offering since they reopened and one we highly recommend as it was absolutely delicious. The best thing about this for us was that it was heavier on the savouries than the sweets!

Savouries
Mini Margarita Pizza

Mini Suppli (Rice Balls) with Black Pepper, Parmesan and Sage

Slow-Cooked Short Rib Beef Slider in a Mini Milk Panini with Fontina Cheese, Roast Potato and BBQ Sauce

Fried Polenta topped with Sauteed Broccolli Friarelli and homemade smoked BBQ Relish

Sweet
Mini Tiramisu

Strawberry Jam Italian Cake

Italian Chocolate Cake with Salted Caramel and Orange

There wasn’t a weak element to this tea, we genuinely enjoyed everything. Livin Italy make the best pizza dough there is, it is so soft and light, we love their takeaway pizzas. The Sliders are one of our favourite starters so we were pleased to see these on the menu. The polenta and rice balls were both really rich in flavour. The Tiramisu was creamy and not too heavy on the coffee. We loved the take on the traditional Jam Scone you see in Afternoon Tea with a piece of jammy cake.
We wouldn’t hesitate to do this again, a twist on the original format, lots of savoury options, filling and a delicious menu

You can choose between Prosecco or Aperol Spritz to accompany your Afternoon Tea but we obviously went for cocktails instead. This is the same menu that we have tried before but we love it so it wasn’t an issue to have these again.

My favourite is the Italian Mojito (Fresh Basil, Lime, Italian Citrus Liqueur, San Pellegrino, Limoncello Foam).
Not only does it taste delicious but it has the best cocktail glass I have ever seen!

Livin Prosecco Cocktail (Fresh Blackberry and Raspberry Puree, Prosecco, Limoncello Foam)

Cherry Amaretto Sour (Cherry infused Bourbon, Lemon Sherbet, Amaretto, Egg White)

Espresso Martini

Daiquiri

Mojito Fidel (Fresh Mint, Lime Sherbet, Chilli, Appleton Rum, Nostra Birra Pilsner)

Brett also couldn’t resist ordering these after dinner liqueurs again as they are like drinking melted chocolate- Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate

With the weather holding out for once we took a walk upto out next stop, Farrands Bar. This is another hidden gem that we were sampling for the first time. The outdoor enclosed terrace is beautiful and perfect to enjoy in all weathers as they have heaters and blankets. It is one of those cosy places that you could sit for hours enjoying a few drinks as it is has such a lovely chilled vibe. The staff are absolutely amazing at what they do and we had professional, friendly, enthusiastic service from everyone.
The cocktail menu is one of the best in the city and features a classic range as well as their special signature instagrammable cocktails. We loved our visit here and were looked after by everyone, we can’t wait to come back next time we are in town.

We started with The Dome (Calvados, Sauternes, Lime, Champagne Syrup, Bubble).
This was gorgeous, we loved the apple brandy and 10/10 to the lovely Rita for serving this upstairs without popping the bubble

Above The Sky (Vodka, Cherry Liqueur, Lemon, Lychee).
As sweet and delicious as it looks- even sweeter when the cotton candy has dissolved

Amalfy Coast (Malfy Lemon Gin, Lemon, Basil Syrup, Prosecco).
Lovely and refreshing, lemon is the best flavour for the spring season

The Outsider (Vodka, Cointreau, Lime, Cucumber).
This is another fun cocktail- the foam tastes like cucumber

Farrands Special (Barcardi, Aperol, Lime, Passionfruit).
It look like a Pornstar but it isn’t- it’s much better

Red Velvet (Bombay Sapphire, St Germain Elderflower, Lemon, Hisbiscus).
And rounding off the complete Signature Cocktail menu with this beauty

We also enjoyed a selection of cocktails from the classic cocktail menu including Clover Club (Gin, Lemon, Raspberry) and The Last Word (Gin, Green Chartreuse, Lime, Maraschino Liqueur)

We weren’t overly hungry after our lunch but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try the food served here (and we probably needed to soak the alcohol up a little!). Occupying the kitchen of Farrands Bar is the fantastic Melthaus. Grilled Cheese Toasties and Loaded Tator Tots are the perfect comfort food to soak up all the delicious cocktails on offer. You order via the QR code on the table and they deliver to your table in 15 minutes. Unfortunately we could only fit in something to share but next time we will definitely leave more room as everything on the menu looks amazing!

We chose Ham Grilled Cheese (Haus three cheese mix with roasted ham, dijon mustard and caramelised onions).
I wish we had captured the cheese pull as it was huge! You just can’t beat a cheesy toastie and this one didn’t disappoint- the Philly Cheesesteak has our name on it on our next visit!

We also shared Truffle Tots (topped with truffle mayo, truffle crumbs)
OMG these were unbelievably good! Piping hot soft potato balls with a moreish truffle mayo coating- you can order extra sauce for dipping which made them even more tasty

Next up was our reservation at Jake’s Bar on Call Lane. This is our go-to bar everytime we visit Leeds, the staff are amazing and so much fun, they always remember us everytime we go. The cocktail menu is really well put together, they believe in sustainability so they try to make as many ingredients themselves, from the spirits to the syrups. The music is great, it changes daily but it was 90s RnB when we were there (which pleased Brett!). I completely forgot to take a picture of the menu but we loved everything we tried as always.

The stand out one though was this little beauty Perci Pig Martini (Perci One Infused Ketel One Vodka, Chamboard, Apple, Lemon, Egg White). Loved the mis-spelling of the name because we know M&S love a good copyright claim!

I am not a fan of shots but we always seem to partake in these with the bar staff when we are here!

After a couple of these, it was definitely time for food back at the hotel room and we opted for Zizzi’s Pizza next door to our hotel. I didn’t take a picture but the Meat Feast and Calzone that we tried were delicious and hit the spot after a long day of drinking!

Happy Anniversary to you both. While Im sorry that you didnt get your America trip, it looks like you still had a great celebration. You've introduced me to some great looking places that Id like to try next time I go out in Leeds. All the food and cocktails you had look fab.

I particularly like the look of the afternoon tea. Ive eaten there before and the afternoon tea looks a bit different to the norm and as I dont like scones the jammy cake is definitely a better choice for me.
