Mobile Anyone flew in to Orlando Melbourne international airport?

Just got decent quotes for a package holiday for august 2022, but it flies into this airport, we’ve never flew into here before, so just wondering any pros/cons?

I don’t mind that it’s 70 miles away tbh, obviously I assume transfer will be dearer, anyone got any idea how much? We’ll be staying in the Wyndham at Disney springs.

I flew into Sanford in 2004, but apart from that I’ve always used MCO, in 2016 it took as 3/4 hours to get out of MCO, our transfer had left by then 🤦, this is a reason I’m not bothered about switching airports tbh, might even end up being quicker.

I think it's a new route so not many on here will have flown into it. I've flown into a few smaller airports and would guess that immigration will be faster, luggage will be out faster, no queuing at car hire and everything will be far closer. Downside will be a smaller selection of shops & restaurants on departure, but check in & security will be faster.

I would think it is unlikely that any Dibb member has flown into MLB as at the moment it is only served by a few flights - AA from Charlotte and Dulles, Elite Airways will start in July and DL from Atlanta domestic services.

We are booked into this airport in May next year. I’m hoping it will be quieter and straight forward, but we’ll see

If the price is good, we will definitely fly to MLB. Always have favoured the smaller airports for the speed of getting through immigration etc.

Looks like 192 all the way from the airport.

My friends who live in Vero use it and they like it . It’s smaller obviously so easier to get in and out of and well organised.
I think I used it some years ago and it was fine but I’m sure they have extended it to allow for the new flights and immigration requirements.

Edited at 11:07 AM.

Its not Orlando how ever much they say it is. TUI are flying here to serve their cruise ships not the Disney market.

Neither is Stanford which is what it is replacing.
It certainly makes spending the first or last night at the beach much easier and who doesn’t like a beach day
There’s also an excellent outlet complex in the area.

I haven't flown it but I'm sure we will as I consider Tui premium the best way to travel. I'm sure the lady who lives there said it's an easy journey.

Is that fact, or just a theory?
