Seaworlds new 2023 coaster announced

Seaworld have finally officially announced the new coaster they are building will open in 2023 , as has been long rumoured this will be the first B&M surf model to be built. B&M are the manufactures of Mako, Manta, Kraken and the hulk in Orlando. From the teaser released this will be a new take on the old standup coaster model and feature a launch at the start. The layout from leaked plans is nots of twists and turns with at least one inversion.

Was originally meant to open in 2021 but covid put stop to that. Video on official Seaworld twitter page below

That makes it the 7th coaster at Seaworld. Seaworld is quickly becoming the park to visit in Florida if you love coaster thrills - more so than Universal or Disney.

I read just before covid struck that was the plan, that as part of sea worlds turnaround plans after years of falling attendance was to become the thrill park of Orlando, as this would give them something different to offer over Disney and Universal. Essentially becoming a sea themed version of the companies Busch Gardens parks. Seems to be working as pre covid attendance was rising again.

This link shows a Patent Application thought to be for the passenger restraint system on the new SeaWorld Coaster, showing the passenger in the standing position.

I assume this is the one near the car park?

There have been building works going on there for months now, you can take a peek through the fences after parking and walking towards the park.

I think Seaworld & Busch are the best places to go already if you like the thrill rides. I don't like them myself but I love seeing our kids enjoyment on them so I am happy to soak up the sun and relax whilst they go and ride them.
Interesting patent for the standing restraint on a coaster, be good to see those fainting videos with one of them on

Sounds like an amazing ride to me, can't wait to try it! Never been on anything like it before, so very much looking forward to seeing what it's like.

Only stand up coaster i've been on is "Shockwave" at Drayton Manor, been quite a few years since i've rode it and it was quite rough then, this new one at seaworld should be in different league as it's made by Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M) and not intamin.
