Busch Gardens going cashless.

Just had an email from Busch saying they are going cashless from August 30th.
If you only have cash you can convert cash to a pre paid visa debit card at locations throughout the park.
Could be a problem trying to pay for your parking if you don't have a card.

I don't really like the sound of this. They are making out they are doing a favour to visitors but surely if visitors wanted a "cashless" experience then they already can, its not like they are operating cash only at the moment.

In terms of customer experience there can be definite benefits.

Cashless Payment can at periods of high attendance can allow a restaurant or a box office queue to move much much quicker. Less time lost to counting, breaking, and returning the correct change from cash.

For tourists like most of us, it can give us a clear track record of where our money is being spent too.

It certainly saves the hassle of carrying lots of cash on holiday.
Most people now have the ability use a card that doesn’t charge a fee as well.
Not to mention being able to track your spending quite easily/ no different than cash.

The hassle of carrying cash? People could avoid the hassle of carrying cash´way before this announcement.
Cards are very different to cash. Cash doen´t malfunction, cash works when the internet is down, a card has no value, cash does

We don’t spend a lot at the parks but this will make us spend even less likely nothing as we have parking with our APs
I wonder how many folk will get caught out at the add a tip even just buying water at a cart cause you can bet the option will be there
