In your trip how long do you…

Stay on site for at universal (if you do) I’m unsure at what point during our 17night Easter 25 break to stay there and am going to stay at either rpr or hard rock (I’m extensively watching YouTube videos on where is best suited to stay to make the most of our visit as it is our first trip to universal parks for our family so we want to really make the most of it!

We noticed that with staying 7 nights, the price per night came down so ended up booking 7 nights. Hoping for a more chilled stay this time.

We normally stay for a week and RPR is our preferred hotel. As with Scottishmam we find the price per night reduces the longer you stay.

We have stayed two nights before but this time it doesn’t suit us as there are now 5 of us, two are older teens and step siblings so not comfortable sharing which means it’s just not comparable to a villa where each gets their own room. We have booked one night this time for the 2 days of express passes and I’d like to stay but suspect DP and his DS will not stay.

If you book 1 night you get 2 days early entry and 2 days express pass. So it’s good not to do it at the beginning or the end.

We find 2 days is plenty of time for the existing parks. However, when Epic Universe opens all bets are off. No-one knows when it will open, or whether hotel guests get any benefits.

It probably depends on how you do parks. Some like to get there early and then rest by the pool in the afternoon and return in the evening.
The parks feel different at night so it's always nice to be able to visit later.
There are lots of things to try and to see. If you like HP then this can take up almost 2 days with shows and things to look at etc.

Onsite hotels are good, the premium ones give express passes but not always needed is you are onsite for 5 nights or more as you get early entry.

We've done 1, 2 and 4 nights at RPR.

It's definitely more than doable with 1 night (2 days), you get more of a relaxed pace with 2 nights (3 days), and any more would depend on how much you enjoy the parks and the rides.

My kids have always preferred the rides at Universal.

We have done 2 nights at Hard Rock the last few trips, for us that is more than enough time at Universal. If we were going to stay for a longer period, say a week, then I wouldn't bother with an express pass hotel as you have more than enough time to dip in and out of the parks and get stuff done, but for a shorter stay, an express pass hotel is a must.

We have done Universal and IOA quite a few times, so we know what rides we want to do and what not etc, so we usually book 1 night at HRH to make the most of the 2 day express passes. Next time, we will try one of the other hotels for the express, but it's usually just the one night in a 2 week trip. May need to be 2 nights when EU opens...
