DAS for 4+ guests

Hi all, apologies if there's a sticky or pinned post somewhere with the info I'm looking for...

We are travelling as a party of 6 and one of our party has been granted a DAS for Disney. The woman on the call was lovely but said current rules state it's for a maximum of 4 guests only. We are all linked on MDE together. She said we could utilise the rider swap.

Does anyone have any experience of using DAS when you have more than 4 people? We are obviously grateful to get it, especially with the new rules, and are happy to pay for 2 people to have Genie+ if that would work, but just looking for any experiences on how to make it work best for us.

If it’s all immediate family members so say mum, dad & 4 kids then yes the DAS will be for all.

Hi, it's already been granted and it's only for 4 of us. There's 6 in total but 4 adults and 2 children.

2 members will need genie + I’ve no experience as I’ve not been since the new rules, but if you ask for your post to be moved over to the additional needs section or pop another post on there, there’ll be lots of advice on what way it works. Lots of threads running on there too about the new rules.

Since the new rules came in I believe there have been no exceptions.

Hi, I'm not asking for exceptions - just advice/experience on how best to manage our party of 6 riding when 4 can use DAS i.e. how does rider swap work in this example (cast member said we can use that) or can/would Genie+ be best (on the basis we can link up times).

what exactly is it you find 'very strange' about our party riding together?

DAS has always been granted for 6 guests in the past, now it's 4

As a disabled person and mum to a disabled person I don’t find it strange at all.

My son through no fault of his own is unable to wait in a normal line.

I travel with my husband and 3 kids - five in total so we’ll probably end up in the same position which will be very upsetting.

Why is it strange that a family dont want to be constantly split up on holiday?
