Travel cards

We have always used cash when in Florida, but as more and more places are going or gone cashless we are thinking of taking some travel money on a Travel card this year.
What's the best card to use?

I usually take Monzo or Starling and both have been really good

Used Revoult in the passed but found it a faff. Now use Monzo, alot simpler and no fees using abroad. Only issue is it uses the mastercard exchange rate live, so if it tanks or drops over the holiday your loosing out, but again if it goes up you win.

Another monzo user here. Only place i had difficulties using it was Walmart.

I also have a Revolut card for this year so plan to preload in the dollars and use both while there.

We use Starling or Chase when abroad. Works well everywhere and you get the bank rate - just remember to pay in dollars if asked.

Only had an issue once - we were at the NBC Grill for lunch and we tried to pay by card, but their system went down so we couldn't pay. Fortunately we were onsite so DH walked backed to the HRH to get money to pay. Since that happened we now always carry enough cash to cover dinner just in case.

We have Chase and my youngest had Starling and not an issue with either. Also First Direct can be used without charge (Except ATM cash withdrawal)
