Disappointed with Disneys response

Due to a sudden impending job transfer from UK to Florida with my partners work we need to get married imminently before applying for the visa! We’ve decided last minute to go out to Florida next weekend to get married!
We have booked the little chapel in Eustis and everything is confirmed and we managed to snag an ADR for California grill for the wedding evening which I was thrilled with. I contacted Disney to check whether we could attend in our wedding attire and they sent a lovely message back but saying no we wouldn’t be allowed in in said attire!
Good job I checked but I’m now struggling to think of somewhere else we may be able to have dinner to celebrate this day.
There is just the two of us and my two grown up daughter attending the wedding and the meal. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where might accept us in our wedding attire for the celebratory meal?

Why on earth not? - Is there a dress code which precludes smart suits etc? - Why would it matter if you've just got married?

What a load of rubbish! My sister got married at that chapel in Eustis and we had their wedding breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe. No one said anything other than loads of congratulations. I'm sure it will be fine.

Hope you have a lovely day and meal afterwards.

Oh really? How long ago was this? The reply was a lovely reply but did state very clearly that I would be turned away if I turned up to any Disney restaurant in wedding dresses and suits!
I must admit I was gutted - have always wanted to eat at Cali Grill and use the balcony for the fireworks viewing and I just thought it would be a perfect end to our day!

May 2022. No one batted an eye. I know that you can't enter the parks in wedding attire unless you get married in Disney, I can't see why having a meal would be an issue though, well it wasn't for my sister. We even got some lovely photos in the GF grounds beforehand.

They do have this on their advice page which states no wedding dresses.

How formal is the dress?

What about a restaurant at the Swan / Dolphin?

We didn't try to eat in any of the restaurants in our wedding attire but did walk through & around the lobby of the Beach Club, would have been a problem if we couldn't as we were staying there

We did want wedding style photos in front of the castle, so I bought a plain white dress and my husband had some smart shorts, short sleeve shirt and a waistcoat. We had lots of photos in our wedding ears and all the photographers were lovely, no issues whatsoever.

I guess its that tricky one of judging when a white dress becomes a wedding dress! Only you know how wedding-y your dress looks.

It would be interesting to see how many brides in wedding dresses could turn up each day if the rule wasn't there I guess.

Also, and I don't know if this is a thing, if the hotel had someone paying a fortune for a wedding reception to be hosted, would it be unfair on them?

Otherwise - yes, I'm sure you'll look a sensational and happy bride in a white dress.

Thanks for advice so far guys. Any ideas of any off site restaurants that may suitable?
We like most cuisines but want somewhere a little more upmarket for our wedding breakfast if possible.

Disney have a rule of no wedding attire across the whole resort. Unless you have book with them of course...

The way round it is a less formal dress than a wedding gown
