Extended Evening hours in AK on 2 July

I notice that on Wed 2 July extended evening hours is in Animal Kingdom instead of the usual extended hours in Magic Kingdom on a Wednesday night.

That would be great for us as long as the following Wednesday it switches back to Magic Kingdom (so we can do both).

my daughter tells me there will be specific fireworks on 3rd & 4th July to recognise US independence - so we wondered if they might be setting them up in the evening of 2nd - hence the change? Just a guess.

I'm also hoping for a switch to HS for Monday 7th July, that would be sweet.

Edit : just noticed after hours is on the Wed so that won't be happening 😭

where did you see the hours?

the calendar on the wow page is only till 26.6

On my MDE App the dates go up to 6 July (as I am writing this)

Wondering if it's to do with the Starlight Parade - are they maybe testing it with a view to it starting later that week?


Happily ever after moves to 10pm from July 6th so wonder if that's when it starts.

Looks like 9th July is the same - gutted as means we'll not have any extended evening hours at MK during our stay. There's an After Hours evening at HS both 2nd and 9th July so I think it's to disperse the crowds to a 3rd park rather than them all hitting MK or Epcot

Just seen the the 9 July - also a bit gutted. Will definitely need to get mulit-LL and Tron LL in MK now
