Universal Halloween Horror Nights Age Limit

Has anyone ever taken a child under the age of 13 to the universal halloween night? If so, how did it go and what was your thoughts on this? Any help would be appreciated as we are heading out in October and not sure whether or not to take our child!

Thanks

would you let them watch 18 rated movies at home and things that would scare the hell out of them? LOL I personally would not take my child to a haloween horror night.

There's no actual age limit, only a recommendation of 13 years or over.
It depends on the child, whether you think they can handle the sort of things in HHN.

We took DD (11) and DS (14) last year and they both loved it. It will depend on each individual child but both of mine are quite normal, well balanced children and not easily freaked out. There were younger children there too.

I think the obvious answer to the question regarding 18 rated movies would be no but since im not aware of the content of the HHN i decided to stick this post on for general opinions.

I seen there was a recommendation for over 13's but sometimes these can be a little over exaggerated.

Lell - Would you say that there were a lot of children at the event or was it just a very limited number?

Thanks to all who have replied!

It is intense and only you know your children.
None of mine have been before the age of 13 and even then my daughter wouldn't go into the houses.
It's scary!
Also you have to consider that copious amounts of alcohol are available and the atmosphere can be more for Adults than young children.

My OH and I went in 2009.

Although we didn't see many kids there, there were some people dragging some terrified little things around, 1 fella in particular telling his 10ish yr old to "man up", disgusting!

No way would I take kids there under the age of 13 and even then not if they frighten easy. I'll freely admit in places I was terrified and the scare actors could tell so really spent time messing with me. Was brilliant

One way to judge for yourself is to look up video clips or photos from the website to see for yourself if you think a child of yours would be ok with it. I dont think a brief glimpse would spoil anything for you
