Naples Vacationtastic - Days 3&4 Forgot To Photograph!

So two days in one report because I am slacking! Tuesday was hot and sunny, and we breakfasted and lunched at the villa to eat up some of the boxes of stuff we didn't eat yesterday! We did have a little drive out and start the mini golf tournament after a heavy rain shower... The course was still a little waterlogged. They should really employ better greenkeepers!

In the car

A few snaps of the villa as promised. It's fabulous, very well kitted out, and we had a call from the owners to check all ok. Lovely people from Illanois, and it really feels like a family home, not a over-processed rental property. It's on the briarwood estate which seems mostly residential, and backs onto a canal, in which lives "Wally" - an 17ft male alligator.
We are yet to see him, but apparently he is quite territorial!

Lounge

Dining area

Pool and hot tub (dark as its about 7am!)

Drinking LOTS of this.
Popped to Perkins for breakfast on Wednesday - love it there. Forgot to photo the food though :-(
Dad didn't come because he wanted to lie in- having a baby in the house who is up at 6am is taking its toll already! We are used to it, but the grandparents are finding it a bit of a shock to the system!

Cheesecake Factory lunch.
Wow- this place really is as good as everyone says. I had some edamame (shared with Morgan) and a skinnylicious Asian chicken salad (less than 500kcal).
It was blooming HUGE! And gorgeously yummy. But again - I forgot to take pics.
We all shared a slice of key lime cheesecake for dessert and that was amazing. Will be going back.

At about 5pm, it started to blow a houlie and rain very hard. Proper Florida rain, which was the 1st time this had happened. We had planned a nice stroll along 5th avenue in Naples downtown tonight and dinner at Yabbas, but this was abandoned as it was agreed that we should go somewhere that we could park outside and run in. Back to the red lobster.
Dad had a frozen lobsterita. It was strong!

Shrimp nachos.

I forgot to say we went to the Outback for
Dinner on Tuesday and it was excellent.
Steaks all round and great blooming onion and hot wings. Hope to return for more ribeye.
Wednesday morning we went to Naples zoo, which was expensive for a couple of hours... BUT we did get to hand-feed giraffes and I actually heard a male lion roar. Really roar.
Wow that's loud! I felt it as well as heard it - amazing.
In the afternoon we drove up to Coconut point mall and mooched about. I found a special edition Phineas & Ferb monopoly set for $40. Was very tempted and have a feeling it may sneak its way into a case on the way home. Also watched Boy Meets
World on TV for a bit of nostalgia!

The villa looks so nice, thanks for posting pics, can you please PM me details as yet to find a decent villa at a decent price in Naples. Where is the picture of the beach from?

So pleased you enjoyed Cheesecake Factory etc, we tried via Napoli this year in part because of your recommendation and loved it! Got chatting to chef, a really nice guy.

The beach photo was taken from the access at the bottom of 4th avenue. We didn't stay long as we found a meter with some time left on it, so thought we'd just do a quick check of what it was like. We aren't really "beach people" as i don't like burning my feet to get to the sea... But the sand was like icing sugar and the water was as hot as a bath- similar to the caribbean. It was quiet, but as there was no shade, we didn't go back as being on the beach with no shade and a baby wasn't sensible at 104degrees!
