The July/Aug 2013 American Pye Trip Report
So here it is…
We’ve been back for almost 3 weeks now and I’ve only just managed to sit down to even begin thinking about writing up this trip report! It’s been none stop since we’ve got back and the post-holiday blues have only just passed. I really struggled coming on the Dibb after our 2011 trip because it made me so depressed that I hadn’t got another trip planned and it wasn’t until we booked again in Oct 2012 that I could come back on again! It hasn’t been as bad this time as we know that we’re going to DLP next year but I’m still sooooo sad that our amazing holiday is over hopefully revisiting the truly wonderful and brilliant times that we had through this trip report will cheer me up no end! And it really was a brilliant time – the best holiday ever! So a quick rundown of this year’s booking/plans. We booked through Thomson with Jetsave and had Virgin flights from Manchester to MCO, a 3 bed Tuscany Homes villa with 14 day Ultimate’s. We’d booked 7 ADR’s (including Be our Guest ), had tickets for Cirque du Soleil and planned a day at Clearwater. I kept a diary while away and wrote it up most days (or the morning after if it was really late!) I think I have the receipts for pretty much everything so will include prices for meals etc. but we were a bit hit and miss with the food pics so some will have them and others (that were obviously too nice to wait to take a pic!) won’t. I won’t bother with intros for all of us again – you can click on the American Pye Pre-Trip report for that and I so hope you all enjoy reading it as much as we did planning and doing it! Pre-trippie Day 0 – Pre-holiday prep/Manchester Premier Inn Day 1 – Travel Day Day 2 – Chef Mickey’s/Magic Kingdom Day 3 – Hollywood Studios Day 4 – Typhoon Lagoon/Wolfgang Pucks Day 5 - Animal Kingdom/Epcot/Coral Reef/Illuminations Day 6 – Pool/Outlets/Cheesecake Factory Day 7 – Epcot Day 8 – DTD/Cinema Day 9 – Clearwater Day 10 – Magic Kingdom/Be our Guest/Wishes Day 11 – DTD/T-Rex/Cirque du Soleil Day 12 – Blizzard Beach/a mini-Dibb meet/Bahama Breeze Day 13 – Hollywood Studios/Mama Melrose/Fantasmic Day 14 – Magic Kingdom/Epcot/Ohana’s Day 15- Disney Quest/Home Highs, lows and future plans

Yay! That's something then. I've never been DLP. Always wanted to, but it gets such mixed reviews.

That's a lovely thing to say - thank you
We've not been to DLP before either and are going mainly so that my Mum and Dad can do Disney with the kids (couldn't cope with two weeks in Florida with them ) but it's also so we can get our Disney 'fix' on our year off from Florida I'm hoping that we will enjoy it but probably in a different way to Florida

I'm sure you will. Everyone here loves it, but says its a completely different experience to Orlando which is what kind of worries me personally. I'd hate to lose the Disney magic if you get me ?
I'm sure your parents will love seeing the little ones with the characters - they'll probably be in Orlando with you next time like it or not ha ha xx

Loving it all so far.
Good call on the stroller for Jack, who needs a poorly tired kid at MK! X
