Naples Vacationtastic - Day 10- Back To The Coast And The Rain

Tuesday we were back at our villa and all feeling quite shattered from our mad Disney dash. We ate breakfast and lunch at home and then went for a wander around the miramare outlet mall as we realised that realistically, 6 days left and one shopping trip would NOT be enough! It had rained over lunchtime, but being the stalwart Brits we are, we continued to BBQ in the rain and insisted on eating outside (undercover). It dried up around 3 and we drove the 30 mins up the I-75 and walked around the shops in the blazing sun. We stopped for coffee, and in true Starbucks style, the barista mid-spelled my dad's name quite spectacularly (Stuart).

On the way back after spending too much money, we stopped off at the Longhorn for dinner. It was around 7.30 and surprisingly quiet! What a difference from Orlando!

We started with the Parmesan crusted asparagus, which was really good. This was after we had eaten most of it!

And a Texas Tonion of course! We think this is better than the blooming onion at the outback on comparison. There is no soggy batter bit. Yummy!

Morgan had the 12oz ribeye with fries and asparagus. He managed to eat it all somehow?!

Mum had the 8oz filet with a loaded baked potato.

Dan chose the 9oz bacon wrapped filet.

This is where I made an error and chose the 18oz bone-in outlaw ribeye (as did my dad). I had it cooked "Pittsburgh" (blackened on the outside and very rare inside) and I chose the baked sweet potato with butter and cinnamon sugar as my side. It was so good, but far too big. The sweet potato was amazing, and I will be serving these when we have a BBQ party at home in a couple of weeks.

Ooh, that sweet potato sounds right up my street. How would you do the cinnamon sugar?

We had a BBQ at home yesterday and I did sweet potatoes with cinnamon sugar etc- just mixed up a load of granulated sugar with ground cinnamon and put that on the split potato followed by butter- worked perfectly!

I thought Morgan's steak was big, must try the sweet potato too!
