Beach Club Getaway - Day 20 - Spirit Of Aloha

It has been seven years since we did our last dinner show. But as we had so many DDP credits to spare and the beer and wine is free, it was the logical choice LOL

Some pineapple, slaw and salad awaits you at the table.

Metal plates. And I know my roll looks like Pac-Man

The show starts off while you are eating to set the story. The same one from seven years ago. No beer yet either!

I have my beer now so things are improving. The main course has arrived. Chicken, Ribs, Pulled Pork and Veg.

Food quality is fine. I think it is the best out of the three dinner shows.

The show goes on. And the beer is going down.

Dessert is bread pudding with caramel.

They then darken the lights for the real part of the show.

They go through dances from various Polynesian islands. Hawaii, Tonga, Samoa and New Zealand.

There is some singing.

Then a fire act.

Then the finale as they all say goodbye. Aloha!

The show is about two hours from the time you go in to the time you leave.

It is not a bad show. The free beer and wine does help though.

Hehe I'd need copious amounts of the beer and wine to get me through the 2 hour show, it includes tip and tax as well doesnt it so not a bad use of 2 credits if you fancy getting plastered, glad you enjoyed it.

Even with the copious amounts of wine/beer we still didn't enjoy the food here. Glad they've changed the dessert. We had the chocolate thing!

I know we wouldn't rush back, but glad you enjoyed yourselves.

I'd call seven years, not rushing back lol. Yes it does include tip etc so nothing to pay.

It's not a show I've ever fancied. Eating off metal plates seems a bit weird to me because I use metal bowls for the cats food!
Great pics but the food looked a bit uninspiring.

I can't remember the plates at Hoop de Doo but I didn't like it there that much either. I couldn't understand the accents
I quite like the backyard BBQ though, but the food is average.

I suppose with all the shows the main focus is the entertainment as opposed to the eats. Love the free bars though

Just chipping in as we have recently visited this show and for any vegetarians out there, this may be of interest
Disney Dining actually left a voice mail message for me at POR to offer me the choice of 4 vegetarian entrees
That said, the starters you are served are all vegetarian and were far better than the entree which was a little bland (and oily!)
The show was OK
We had a fab evening, lots of fun, but the Luau at Universal's Royal Pacific Resort is times better
