Disney Magic Med Cruise - July 2014 - Day 3 At Sea


The day started early as we were booked to do the 'Art of the Magic'. We headed up to Palo restaurant as the tour started at the top of the ship.

We were the only people there when the tour started.

The Palo chef insisted DW take a photo of him as he was so important (he said).



They seemed to have some food setup already. I presume for the brunch but it seemed early.



As you go into Palo there are display cabinets of Venetian art and masks. As the Disney Magic was built in Venice they themed the restaurant to honour that.






There is a large decorative mask next to the restaurant reception.



We then went down to the kids clubs. As it was open house time we got to go inside and take photos.









We even had a go on the slide.



Except somehow my DW seemed to turn around on the way down. All I heard from the top was. Owe owe owe as she banged her head all the way down. I was totally sympathetic as usual and didn't laugh that loud. Honest!






Now there are Marvel characters on the ship. This is part of the Marvel area and is the Agents of Shield crest.









The kids character interactions are great. We met detective Goofy.



After the tour we went for breakfast. This is served in Cabanas until 11:30.












After breakfast we went onto the promenade deck and Goofy had obviously changed for a morning jog.



Walking right round the promenade deck takes you inside the workings of the bow section.



As we went back inside it was time for the princesses to come out.



With the photographers going down on one knee to welcome them.



After a relaxing day it was time for Carioca's.






Formal night of course.



Deep fried lobster croquetas. With a banana lentil salad and creamed horseradish.



Empanadas Panzudas de Carne. Argentinean beef empanadas with red chimichurri.



Lobster, Shrimp and Mahi Mahi Skewers on Peruvian Quinoa Salad



Jose Carioca's. Skewered and Grilled Brazilian Sausage, Adobo Chili Crusted Lamb and Tenderloin with Mexican tomato rice, jumbo shrimp, chimichurri and lime-garlic orange mojo.



And for desert.



Suspiro Alimenea. Baked lemon cream, topped with port wine meringue and sprinkled with cinnamon.



Coconut Tres Leches "Three Milk" Cake



Sweet Temptations. A trio of tort a de chocolate, strawberry cheesecake and de la costa cream cheese flan.



And someone just couldn't resist the draw of the original Mickey bar ice cream.



Back to the room to freshen up before the show. To find the new towel animal and tomorrow's navigator.



After the show we decided to go to Keys bar.

DD2 is 18 so she can drink on the European cruises. But we had to have her card marked with an X to prove we had signed the waiver.






And to bed. Tomorrow we will dock in Katakolon.
