5 adults... One week... Spends
Hi all,
We flew in yesterday for a week. I thought I'd update you on our spends throughout the week as it was these posts I found most useful when planning our trip. Travel day $2 tip Alamo driver tip bringing our car to us $5 approx on tolls - we got lost listening to the sat nav from Sandford to Disney Dolphin hotel. Be aware some tolls require exact change $0.75. $16 to park car at hotel (will be charges to the room daily) $20 (inc tip) taxi from Disney Dolphin hotel to Longhorn Steakhouse ordered by concierge in the hotel $230 (inc tip) meal at Longhorns - we had- Two free mini loaves Pretzel bread Spicy shrimp platter 3 x chilli chicken bites Full rack of baby cider ribs Full Rach of BBQ ribs Rib eye steak Sirloin steak Fillet steak (All served with a side order (chips or mash or potato gratin) and a side salad with a choice of dressing) 2 x strawberry daiquiri 2 x pints of ale 4 x pints bud light 1 x vodka and orange juice 2 x large diet cokes The meal was amazing, we had a table full of delicious food and would definitely recommend Longhorns. The service was great. You can't book but can call ahead 30 mins from arrival and they will try and allocate a table to you when you arrive. We went to the one on Vineland Ave. $25 (inc tip) taxi from Longhorns to Dolphin Hotel (ordered by Longhorns) Hope this is going to be useful I will try and include my thoughts on places we eat too and what we had too. We are off to Magic Kingdom today. Will try to update later 😎 Edited at 11:44 AM. |

Hi all, here's days 3 spends-
Day 3 - discovery cove Dolphin photo $25 2 x magnets $15 We had a lovely time at Discovery cove. The breakfast was good, not too heavy for our 9.35 am dolphin swim (croissants with ham, egg and cheese). Lunch was excellent- fish, burgers, Hawaiin chicken and rice, chicken salads. Then cheesecake, fruit for dessert. You could have as many drinks as you like, bottled water, beers, tea and coffee and some frozen drinks too. There were snacks too such as crisis, nuts, ice creams. We thought the day was well worth what we paid. Premium outlets Converse $54 2 x converse t-shirts $30 2 x GAP sweatshirts $45 Portobello - Downtown Disney $270 inc tip Starters- Soup of the day Margareta pizza Antipasti sharing plate Veal meatballs Mains- 2 x spaghetti and meatballs Lasagna Shrimp linguine Bolognaise Bottle of red wine 2 x vodka and OJ Gin and tonic White wine 2 x diet coke We were told there would be a 50 minute wait for a table, but in reality it was around 15 minutes. Having said that the table wasn't in a great location-right next to the servers station. The starters were much tastier than the mains. Service was good. The 'experience was spoilt slightly by a European family sat 2 tables away who had kids aged from around 3-7 who were running around the restaurant and passed our table. 2 x Christmas decoration signs $14 We are at Hollywood Studios / Epcot today so I will try to post later 😄 Edited at 06:39 PM. |

Hi all,
We are sat in The Royal Palm Lounge right now (a great perk on premium seating) boarding in about 10 mins time. Here's the remaining spends... I've not totalled anything up so it will be interesting to do that when we get back (I've just been using bites on my iphone so apologies for any auto corrects along the way!) The menu wasn't vast and I struggled to find something to eat so ordered two starters. However everyone else really enjoyed their meals. Service was average. The entertainment certainly made the night, 3 singers /piano players in total. They took requests for $1. Great atmosphere, could be more choice of food for those who don't eat steak or fish. Day 6 animal kingdom Parking at hotel $16 Pizzafari- $57 Breakfast croissant 2 x bounty platter Breakfast burrito Croissant 3 x OJ 2 x coffee Tea Water $2.50 Lemonade $2.59 Diet coke $2.59 Water $2.50 Cheese and jalapeño stuffed pretzel $4.59 Water $2.50 Yak and Yeti- $170 inc tip Spring rolls BBQ wings Sweet and sour chicken and rice Mari Mari fish in teriyaki sauce with rice Fish curry and rice Honey chicken and rice Chicken noodles 2 x large beers 2 x diet coke Virgin strawberry daiquiri Water Really tasty food here, nice to sit down and eat in the park too. We only waited around 10 minutes for a table (this was around 3pm). Food was good, portions big and service good. Frozen Mickey sandwich $4 Frozen lemonade $4 Mug $14.95 Keyring $2.45 Americano Cappuccino $10 Lamonts (shop in hotel) - $25 Note pad 4 x shell memos Magnet Taxi from Dolphin to Bahama Breeze Vineland Ave $25 Bahama breeze Pint of blue moon Pint of draft beer Sam Adams Gin and tonic Strawberry daiquiri Vodka and OJ -$28 inc tip Rib eye steak Chicken curry Sirloin steak Jerk chicken Baby back ribs 4 x key line Vodka and OJ Blue moon Diet coke 2 x Sam Adams $190 inc tip We called ahead and asked to be put on the wait list, when we arrived they said it would be a 20-30 minute wait but we were seated in 10 minutes. Bill Dave was our server, he was friendly and attentive. The cuts of steak weren't the best, but the other meals were lovely. The key lime pie was huge and would probably serve two to one portion. Taxi from Bahama Breeze to Dolphin $25 inc tip Day 7 - travel day BJs Vineland Ave - $85 inc tip Chicken pasta Mediterranean pitta Tomato soup Chicken club sandwich with fries BBQ chicken pizza Potato wedges Lemonade Diet Pepsi Pepsi Root beer 2 x water (We weren't charged for the pasta as it was cold, they did offer to make fresh but as we were on route to the airport we declined). All the other food was great, it could have been warmer, but it was tasty and the portions were huge. Service good. |
