11 Days Of Orlando Magic - Day 11 Time To Go Home And All My Purchases

Ok my eyes are closed 😑 Nope! It doesn't work...
I'm sitting on my sofa after finally finishing unpacking feeling a bit miserable as its so cold here compared to Orlando, Post Disney Depression is the worst!😢

Anyway here is my last day from packing to unpacking with a long haul flight in the middle.

Mum and I are up fairly early to start the dreaded task of packing our bags ready to leave. We decided to leave it until this morning as we don't have to leave the villa until 11am so we will make the most of still having a 'home' before spending the rest of the day waiting to be picked up.
My breakfast this morning is 1 of these gorgeous things!

After spending an hour and a half trying to work out where everything will fit, we finish packing and sit and have a last drink on the balcony in the sunshine.
It gets to 11am and we have to leave our beautiful villa for the last time.

As you can see mum is really happy about the prospect of going home...

We drop our bags with Bell Services and go and sit opposite the ferry dock and have a drink. We still have snack credits to use up!

This resort is just lovely wherever you are and I don't think I would ever tire of the views.

The sky doesn't look real, must be Disney Magic!

We have a lunch ADR at Olivia's at 12.30pm but we ask if we can go in at 12pm as we want to go to Disney Springs for some last minute shopping afterwards. It's not a problem so we head in there for lunch, our last table service credits.

Mum chooses a strawberry milkshake (included on the dining plan)

I have a berry smoothie (also included)

Mum has a shrimp po boy sandwich for her main.

I have the buttermilk chicken and mash as mums looked so yummy the other night.
Both meals were delicious and good choices.

Dessert time 😋 mum chooses the no added sugar panna cotta.

I have the banana bread caramel pudding...omg!😋😋
This was a perfect way to use our last table service credits and a lovely last meal.

We catch the bus to Disney Springs, I've noticed that some buses say Downtown Disney and others say Disney Springs.

Time for some last minute purchases.

After some kitchen purchases (all at end of this report) we walk slowly back to WestSide to catch the boat back to OKW.
We walk past the new Boathouse restaurant.

We saw the Amphicars out on the lake quite often throughout our stay.

Jock Lindsay's Hanger Bar opens on Tuesday. So close to seeing it open yet so far! Oh well one on the list for next time...
This is next door to the Boathouse.

The new STK steakhouse is popping up.

We stop into Starbucks to spend our last snack credits.
We had 4 QS credits left over too so exchanged them for some sweets in Goofys Candy Co store.

We walk to the boat launch to get back to the resort. What another lovely sunny day.

We take the relaxing boat ride back to OKW.
We change into jeans once back at resort, oh my god we were hot whilst waiting for Magical Express😎😜

Boo!... the Magic Express picks us up right on time, we make a stop at Saratoga Springs to pick up more miserable holidaymakers who are going home and we leave for the airport.
I have just received a text from Virgin explaining our flight has been delayed by an hour. Never mind it means more time in Orlando!

The coach drops us off and we check in with no problems.
Worth noting that if you're flying with Virgin, you get dropped off at side B at the airport and Virgins check in desks are at side A.

There were long queues at security but they move fairly quickly and we're soon on our way over to the gates.

Luckily for us the extra hour can be spent here in the club lounge. Virgin don't have their own lounge at Orlando so they use Deltas.

It's a nice big lounge and lovely and quiet so no hustle and bustle of the airport here.

We make ourselves at home and indulge in a few drinks and nibbles as we've decided not to eat dinner on the plane as we would like to try and sleep as much as we can. Also after our big lunch we're not that hungry.

Eventually our flight is called just as the lounge is closing. We are boarded straight away and we settle down into our seats. We have the same seats as on the way out.

This is a forced smile! 😉

I fill out my breakfast order form for the morning so I can sleep longer.

A little glass of bubbly to try to cheer me up!

We are soon in the air, we have a hot drink, change into our pjs and settle down.

It's such a treat to be able to properly lay down and be comfy on a night flight!
I close my eyes and what I think is a few moments later I'm woken by a light turning on, it's actually 5 hours later, I've slept most of the way!

I am served with my cereal, bran flakes, well I'd better start the diet today!

Well maybe not today, so I have a bacon roll too.

I get changed back into my clothes and take a peek out of the window.

Looks nice but lots of cloud!

This is England...yay! (sarcasm at its finest!)

Ok so it's raining then😩

And we're home...

English Rose bought us home.
We use the electronic gates at passport control and go straight through nice and quickly. Bags follow shortly after and we walk through an empty customs hall straight to Costa Coffee for a well needed cuppa.
We phone Maple Manor and receive instructions to pick up the car. It's really simple and we are in the car within 10 minutes.

Does anyone have one?!?!

We have had an amazing holiday and thank you all for joining us in our travels.

One more thing, all the shopping purchases!
Here we go...

New bag for work stuff, bought in Walmart.

Tea Towels.

Love this stuff and happy that I could bring some home, the bottle is plastic.

Notepads for the fridge, great for shopping lists.

Next years calendar.

Snack credit purchases (mum has other half)

Signs for the kitchen.

Magnets for my famous fridge (in the pre trippy) and 2 new pins, I love the MNSSHP one.

This years Xmas decoration.

Snuck this one in too, well Pluto is my favourite 😊

New apron.

Oven glove to go with the Mickey one I bought last year.

Mat for dining room table.

Coasters, they're made from bamboo.

Goodies for the kids.

For my sandwiches for work, so grown up!

New converse for daughter and hubbie.

Vans for my son.

Tshirt for son.

Figaro in a pumpkin! This is for my daughter, she loves Figaro and you don't see her often, so this was a must!

This little lot was a bargain at $60, much cheaper than here at home.

Top from Ralph Lauren, it looks really nice with my jeans. I love a stripy top😊

My biggest and best purchase. My new Fossil handbag😍 It retails at $198 and I got it for half price!

Actually this might be my favourite purchase, a new Pandora charm for my bracelet. It had to be Mickey this time but I will buy the Minnie one next time 😊

Not a purchase but all the toiletries I obtained throughout our stay😉
I did also buy some other items but I can't share pictures as they are presents for upcoming birthdays and I don't want to spoil any surprises.

So that's it for now. Mum and I had a magical holiday and certainly enjoyed every single second.
I don't know when I'll be going back to the magic but when I do I will definitely be doing another trip report as I find it a lovely way to look back on a holiday as some things do get forgotten.
