Day 1 Highs And Lows - The Chilled One

Brilliant day in Miami glad we stayed and didn't just get up and drive to Orlando. We walked along ocean drive early evening last night and there's a brilliant party atmosphere down there not places we would take the kids but great to walk down and see it.

I'll start with the lows today

The first nights sleep we were in bed for 10 but I woke at 1.30am struggled to get back off then at 4am there a knock at our door DH jumps out and sticks his head out the door for a couple to go sorry wrong room DH just looked at them before shutting the door. They then go to the next room and proceed to stand in the hallway talking by this point we are all awake and then spend the next 2 hours struggling to sleep before finally giving in and getting up at 6am.

Sunburn... I've gone with ultrasun this year but DH still had pink shoulders. DS is a little pink he had ultra sun on in the morning but before we hit the beach I put factor 50 kids on him but it looks like I missed the bit where his shorts meet his back note to self must do better!

Highs

Pirate duck tour we loved it, kids found it funny and it was interesting to the adults. We loved seeing the big house and finding out who owned them, rather depressing though to realise even with a lottery win I won't be buying one. The bus turning in to a boat was fab then we drove down ocean drive with music blaring.

Miami beach we had a brilliant afternoon there kids loved the sea.

Le sandwicherie for lunch it's got brilliant trip advisor reviews and it lived up to them big fresh sandwiches with some sweet hot peppers on that we're amazing.

Tomorrow morning we are off to international drive I've even said I might try driving for the first time as it's such a long journey so people word of advice stay off the roads...

Sounds like you had a lovely time in Miami. Safe driving! eeek, rather you than me - I've not been brave enough to volunteer for that yet.
