Day 2 Highs And Lows - The Chilled One

Today we drove from Miami and checked into the Avanti on international drive for the next 5 nights.

Highs

The drive from Miami was so easy it took 4 hours with a 40 minute stop for lunch it was a really simple drive and the time passed quickly.

We were given a newly renovated room at the Avanti following last years lightening strike block 2 has been refurbished the biggest change is the bathrooms it makes the rooms really modern and we love it.

An afternoon chilling at the pool was lovely the kids made friends and the Avanti pool is great.


Lows

The heat is a shock to the system it was 93 degrees today and clear I was under the Brolley at the pool and I like the sun. Even walking to dinner tonight was a struggle.

We went to the yard house by the orlando eye for dinner the starter of nachos was lovely then the mains arrived and we had one cold steak, one luke warm steak and a cold child's pizza. They did apologise comp the cold steak and give a free round of drinks but for how busy the place was we had high expectations.

Overall we had a lovely day and being back on international drive for the 3rd year in a row it still feels great.

Tomorrow our friends are off to discovery cove and we are going to seaworld.

We've done the drive up from Miami and from Boca Raton and have always found it passes quickly. Glad you're enjoying the Avanti, we loved it for accommodation and location. We had some nice, relaxing time around the pool too.
