Day 8 Highs And Lows - The Chilled One

Day 8 should be renamed man vs food as we hit the old salty dog after a day of beach and pool.

Highs

Mango cafe for breakfast was lovely we all really enjoyed it I had the standard 2 eggs brekkie but Rach had the eggs Benedict and it was described as amazing.

Old salty dog for dinner was also good I had the fish platter which had too much batter really but the fish was beautiful. Quinn went for the mans vs food hot dog and cleared it. Couple of buckets of bud light and we were all suitably stuffed.

Johnny's free taxis was great we used it to
and from the village of course we tipped but great service and friendly drivers.

Lows

The beach was a low today it was all churned up from the storm last night so the sea was a dodgy shade of brown and the sand was all damp and solid I wasn't impressed. I was expecting to be blown away I know it's just bad luck but it really took the shine off. I retreated to the pool in a sulk haha.


Overall we had a lovely chilled day and it's now 8pm and we are sat round the pool watching the kids swim. However we appear to be getting ate alive so if your coming to siesta key bring your insect repellant. The tropical beach resort is great for a few nights I think I'd prefer to stay in the village next time but I can't complain.

Tomorrow we check out from here and head for Naples the plan is a visit to turtle beach and a stop at the Miromar outlets on the way.
