The Kuna Mahuna Croatia Holiday - Day Eight - Krka National Park

We had to get up really early today, for our trip to Krka National Park. We grabbed some chocolate croissants, tea and a bit of fruit then made our way to the bus stop to meet the coach. Our journey to Krka took one and a half hours, we parked at a nearby town and took a lovely boat trip to the entrance of the park.

Once inside the park, we made our way around the boarded walk passing the amazing waterfalls as we went round. It was breath taking.

We stopped for a bit of lunch here -

Then we swam in the water, there were quite a few rocks underneath so you had to be a bit careful but it was so refreshing with the heat. Afterwards we got dried and had an ice cream

The park was beautiful, a little crowded but still well worth the journey. We saw lots of fish, frogs, and unusual trees -

look at these two love birds by the waterfalls bless them..

We did see one nutter trying to throw himself down the waterfalls, which you are not supposed to swim in (highly dangerous) we were told a man died earlier this year doing just that...
Heading home we all took a well deserved nap on the bus.

Quick shower back at the hotel then a nice dinner - I had pasta with prosciutto and truffle (mmmm) the kids had pizza and Terry had calzone (pizza pie) then we had my favourite dessert - Tiramisu yummy! My tummy is enormous but I just don't care!

Tomorrow I need rest and I think the kids do too - books and beach are looking good! Am in bed already (9pm) watching Netflix movie and drinking decaff tea again...night night x

Just read all your TR days so far and I'm really enjoying it (not as much as you obviously!). It looks bliss. I really fancy Croatia for a holiday...

Thanks Tink, would highly recommend it, such nice people, cheap to eat, lovely clear sea, and so much to do!
