Joni's First Disney Holiday - Travel Day

We had a great travel day. There was a bit of a shaky start when Ed was allocated a seat nowhere near any of us on the plane, but the lady at the desk soon sorted it out for us, and by a stroke of luck we ended up with two rows of four seats between us all.

We had plenty of room for Joni's sleepyhead pillow so she got lots of sleep on the plane, and we got to enjoy a movie and our dinner

I really enjoyed the James Martin food on board. I had the maple glazed chicken served with Mac and cheese

The cheese and biscuits were fantastic. I didn't eat the pudding, but everyone else in our group loved it!

We were given afternoon tea shortly before landing

This pretty much sums up the flight haha

We were off and through customs quite quickly, but the bags took a really long time to come off. The BA flight that came through after us had there bags right away so unsure what the problem was with the Thomas Cook flight

Before long we were on the Magical Express, yippee!

Checking into Saratoga Springs resort

Not the best photo - we headed to the Artists Palette for some food and to get our refillable mugs (there were none available with handles unfortunately)
We had some lobster BLTs and used our sides to stock up on breakfast items (orange juice, bagels and fruit)
We were all shattered so headed to bed (guess who was all up at 2am haha)

Brilliant travel day and Joni looked like she was an absolute superstar. Shame about slow luggage but if that's the only hiccup you got the holiday off to a great start. Enjoy and look forward to reading more
