Just realised that I hadn't left a review when we returned home in October.

Villa Sorrento was exactly as described, a real home from home, lots of information from Helen before we left on shops and restaurants nearby and very helpful when Hurricane was due to hit the day after we arrived. Originally we were due to stay in Melbourne for a couple of nights before travelling down to the Villa but Helen and Ian kindly allowed us to check in a day early as the Villa was empty. The Hurricane hit, heavy rain and wind, power was lost for a while but we felt safe in the Villa and luckily the only damage was to the mesh screens. To be fair due to the Hurricane, lives lost and damage caused it put a dampener on the holiday but we were glad we had the home comforts of a Villa.

Haines is quite far out which we knew and for a no parks trip was ideal especially if we had been able to visit the State Parks and West Coast. If we were going to the theme parks every day we would prefer to be a bit closer to the action to save time and driving.

Overall it was lovely Villa to stay in especially having followed some of Helen's trip reports and seeing some of her renovations in real life ! Also the communication prior to and after the Hurricane was fantastic being able to text or email the owners direct. Ian insisted that we didn't pay for the extra night so we donated the cost to the Hurricane Fund. Many thanks for letting us stay in your Villa.

We stayed in this lovely villa for 12 nights. Helen and Ian were excellent hosts and the villa has everything you need for a comfortable/relaxing stay. This is our 3rd visit to the villa and the owners take great pride in their home. The villa is located in Haines City and is close to supermarkets/restaurants and fast food outlets. Thanks for a great stay.

We had an excellent time in this villa and everything was perfect. Some highlights:

- Really comfortable beds compared to many villas we stayed in
- Lovely Spa in the Pool area - very relaxing
- Fully equipped Kitchen
- Ice Maker in refrigerator
- Games room is incredible
- Loads of towels - do not pack any!
- 2 mins from Walmart, 5 mins from Publix etc
- Less than ten minutes from Interstate 4
- Internet Service was flawless and fast fibre speeds
- lots lots more

We highly recommend this villa. The owners are friendly and very fast to respond to any queries we had. There was a small issue with pool heat and it was resolved same day to our complete satisfaction.

Security deposit was returned the day after our rental ended - that's great service too we did not need to ask we got an email asking for our bank details and the payment was sent within minutes of my sending my bank details.

Just back from another great stay at Villa Sorrento and had an absolutely fabulous time. The villa had everything we wanted, and more.

My only 'complaint' is not getting to hang more and enjoy such a beautiful home.

Stayed here for a week in August, was lucky enough to get a week free in between longer bookings.

* The villa is really well situated just before Haines City, exit 55 on the I4.
* House was spotless and really comfy. Loved the leather couch and minimalist decor.
* Has 4 fab bedrooms and sleeps 8. We had a room free because 2 of the kids were fighting over sleeping in the Nemo room .
* Pool and spa is to die for, access from main living area and also from the master bedroom.
* Took about 20 mins to Seaworld, 30 mins to IDrive 360 and 15 mins to Legoland.
* Posner place is great to pick up some shopping. I love JCP and it was really handy to nip in there.
* Mannys is only down the road, nice food but I really wouldn't recommend if you're hungry and it's after 6pm, the queues are long and we were too cranky to enjoy our food when we did eventually get it.
* Cicis only few mins away in Posner Park if you're a fan.
* 5 mins to Publix, Walmart and Aldi for groceries. We got Publix filled rolls a few evenings and ate at the pool, much nicer than sitting in a restaurant after a long day, ordered online and they were waiting in chill cabinet.
* Kitchen very well equipped if you decide to use it. We literally used the Kettle for a few cups coffee and toaster for bagels one morning. Didn't even use delph, had bought paper plates and bowls etc in Dollar store, life is too short to be tidying up on hols.
* TV in each bedroom and huge one in living room and games room.
* Games room well equipped (but again we didn't get to use really, just too busy during the day and usually swam when we eventually got home before falling into bed).
* Internet really fast, watching live games on main TV with Chromecast and there was no disconnecting.
* Owner/Gryff was really helpful with questions and local area questions.
* Any Qs, just ask!

Great stay and villa was perfect for our needs. Location was great for us, the villa was clean and modern and everything was provided for in the villa. Would stay here again.
