Disney Magic
The Disney Magic was the first flagship that Disney produced and set sail on the 30th July 1998. It can hold 2,400 guests, has 11 passenger decks and 877 state rooms. In June 2013 the ship was completely renovated to update the Cabins, Lounges, Restaurants and Spa, with all the modern luxuries, comforts and technologies that you would expect. The AquaDunk and AquaLab replaced the original Mickey's Pool, which should please the thrill-seekers with the drop-out waterslide located atop the ship's Forward Funnel.
The Disney Magic currently sails to many exotic destinations. Itineraries include Cruises to the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Northern Europe, Norwegian Fjord's, Norwegian Fjord's and Iceland, Dover to Barcelona and Eastern or Western Transatlantic Cruises. They offer voyages from 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12 and 14 nights.
After a five-year hiatus, the Disney Magic will return to Greece in summer 2020 as part of three special Mediterranean voyages departing from Rome. During one 12-night and two nine-night cruises, guests can marvel at the beautiful landscapes and archeological wonders of destinations like Piraeus, the gateway to Athens; Katakolon, near ancient Olympia; and the islands of Santorini, Mykonos and Crete.
Each of these unique Mediterranean itineraries combines a selection of stops in Greece with visits to other notable cities in the region. Two of the sailings include a new port of call in Messina, Italy, where guests can visit landmarks in Sicily such as Mount Etna, the highest and most active volcano in Europe, or the Piazza del Duomo, the city’s historic center. The third features a return to the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” Dubrovnik, Croatia, for the first time in five years.
Additional new ports of call in Europe include Gdynia, Poland; Nordfjordeid, Norway; Plymouth, England; and Zeebrugge, Belgium. This new collection of destinations is part of the Disney Magic’s grand tour of Europe in the summer of 2020, which begins with sailings through the Mediterranean and Greek Isles before heading to northern Europe in late summer for cruises to the Baltic, British Isles and Norwegian fjords.
From March 2018 guests can enjoy 'At Rapunzel's Royal Table', where families will delight in an all-new dining experience inspired by the beloved story of Disney's "Tangled." The first table service restaurant themed to "Tangled" that features characters and live entertainment will transport Disney Magic guests to the kingdom of Corona for an evening of music and interactive fun featuring Rapunzel and the mischievous Snuggly Duckling Thugs.
Guests will step inside a regal ballroom in the royal castle, lit by glowing wish lanterns and adorned with colorful drawings that reflect Rapunzel's artistic talents. Here, the King and Queen of Corona invite everyone to take part in a festive celebration of Rapunzel's birthday and the anniversary of her return to the kingdom.
Throughout dinner, guests of all ages will be treated to live entertainment, including spirited singing and dancing led by the maître d', a merry band of musicians, the mischievous Snuggly Duckling Thugs and of course, Princess Rapunzel herself.
Entertainment in the form of 'Frozen', is on offer for guests on select sailings to Europe and Alaska. This will include new character meet and greets with Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf, a three-song stage production and an evening deck party.
