Walt Disney World Resort vacation memories captured by a professional photographer and available for you to view and share online without ever having to wait in line.

Disney's PhotoPass service is like having your own personal photographer so you can be in the picture - instead of taking it.

Photopass Introduction:
The Walt Disney World Photopass is based around a network of photographers spread around the main Disney themeparks. The photographers will take your picture for free with no obligation or pressure to purchase.

You can claim your photos any time, including online for 30 days after your trip is over. You can view your photos, order prints, and create photo keepsakes. Update: The time for retrieving your photo's has changed, it is now 45 days from the first photo taken, if you hover over your photo it now gives the date it will expire, note, this is ok for two week holidays but could be a problem for longer holidays.

PhotoPass+
Plotopass plus is an all inclusive package with all your PhotoPass pictures PLUS select attraction photos AND Dining Print Packages (taken within a 14 day visit), all for $199.95. PhotoPass+ will be sold at PhotoPass viewing stations located throughout Walt Disney World.

How it all works:
First you need to find one of the PhotoPass photographers. Once you have found your photographer and had your first photo or photo's taken you will be given a PhotoPass Card that has a 16 digit number on the reverse. This is a unique number and you should make a note of it, just in case you lose the card. It's the number that is important, not the card.

Now every time you get your photograph taken present the card to the photographer, they will swipe the card and the photographs will then be associated with the number on your card.

If you have forgotten your card or it is with a member of your party that isn't currently with you, don't worry just get another card from the photographer. You can combine as many different PhotoPass cards as you wish.

The number of pictures per PhotoPass card is unlimited, although I'd recommend getting several, maybe a new one each day and remember to make a note of the card numbers.

Viewing your Photographs:
The photos are transmitted from the photographer to the PhotoPass system via wireless link so your pictures are usually available to view within a few minutes although this can still be up to 24 hours before they are available online.

You can present your card or cards at the following locations:

• Exposition Hall in Magic Kingdom
• The Camera Center at Epcot
• Cover Story - The Dark Room at Disney Studios
• Garden Gate Gifts at Animal Kingdom
• County Bounty in Magic Kingdom’s Toontown
• Guest relations at Downtown Disney
• PhotoPass kiosk located on the second floor of the Grand Floridian Resort

To view your photos online you will need to create an account at the following site:
http://www.disneyphotopass.com/

Viewing your photos online allows you to add Disney borders and Enhancements to your photographs.

Note: Your photos are only available online for a limited time. You have 30 days to add the card number to your account and then 30 days from that point before they are deleted.

Purchasing your Photographs:
There are several methods and products that can be purchased.

Photo Prints
These are individual prints that can be purchased in the parks or online.

Example pricing (subject to change)
  • Two 4" x 6" prints of a single picture = $14.95
  • One 5" x 7" print = $12.95
  • One 8" x 10" print = $16.95
  • One 5" x 7" print + four wallet-sized prints, all of the same picture = $19.95
  • One 5" x 7" print + one magnet, both of the same picture = $19.95
  • One 5" x 7" print + one luggage tag, both of the same picture = $19.95
  • One 16" x 20" print = $29.95
  • Uploaded photos are available in single 4" x 6" format only = $1.49 each
Ordering in the parks will give a wider choice of borders and enhancements than ordering online.

Photo CD now called Photpass Archive cd
This is the most popular and the most cost effective.
The cost is $169.95, now this may seem a lot however you will receive ALL your PhotoPass images on the CD. This includes ALL your PhotoPass cards. You will receive one or more CD's depending on the number of photo's you have collected. Each CD holds around 300 Photos, so if you have collected 500 you will receive two CD's. You don't pay any extra if you need more than one CD for all your photographs.

The images on the CD are in .jpg format and are approximately 6 Mega Pixels

Note: If you order the Photo CD from the Parks then you will just get the plain photos, however if you order the CD online you can spend your time cropping, editing, adding borders and enhancements before you order the CD. Doing this will allow you to turn one photo into multiple photos using different borders and enhancements.

2GB Mickey Glove USB Drive
This is a USB 2.0 Flash Memory Storage Drive shaped like Mickey's glove, perfect for carrying your favorite photos and other files. It attaches easily to a keychain = $19.95

Photo Movie
This is where you can create your own DVD Slideshow complete with background video of the parks. You can include Disney Characters, Disney Music along with creative transitions.

The cost for this is $49.95 (subject to change)

You can have up to 7 chapters, any of which can be 1 of the 4 main parks or a 'Beyond the Parks' theme which is primarily one of the Disney Resorts (your choice). Each type of chapter allows for 7-16 of your PhotoPass photos, Disney stock images or your own photos you've uploaded to the website.

Photo Book:
This is a digital Scrapbook photo album and there are two options available

1. $49.95 allows for uploaded photos to be included only.
2. $69.95 allows for PhotoPass and Disney Stock photos to be used.

Finding the Photographers:
This may be a bit strange as normally you would expect themepark photographers to jump out at you at every opportunity! Disney photographers do not hassle the guests, so if you want a photo taken you normally have to approach them. Finding them can be fun in it's self!

Other Locations:
You can also add photos to your PhotoPass from the following locations:

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Dining Locations:
You need to purchase the Photo taken at the table, on the back of it will be the PhotoPass number, enter this photopass number into your photopass account and you will see all the pictures they took, usually around 5.

DISNEY'S PHOTOPASS MAGIC SHOTS
Disney wouldn't be Disney without some good old magic.
You can get various Disney characters magically appearing in your photo's. When a photographer asks you to pose a certain way maybe to cup your hands or look in a certain direction it's probably a good indicator that some magic might appear on your photograph.

Magic Shots are often limited to certain times and locations.

Don't be afraid to ask the photographer if a magic photograph is available.

NEW! Capture Your Moment

Disney PhotoPass new service allows guests to book an in-park photo session at the Magic Kingdom.

For those celebrating something special who want a bit more time in front of the camera, Disney are piloting a new experience at Magic Kingdom Park called "Capture Your Moment,".

Capture Your Moment lets you book time with a Disney PhotoPass photographer for a personalized photo session during regular park hours at Magic Kingdom Park to capture celebrations and milestones, such as a proposal, baby announcement, graduation, anniversary, family reunion, first visit, birthday, and more!

All Capture Your Moment photo session locations will offer an iconic view of Magic Kingdom Park, to include a view of Cinderella Castle. At the start of your session, your photographer will share available photo shoot locations and discuss what you’d like to capture before escorting you to your photo shoot location. Once you arrive at your photo shoot location, you will have the opportunity to capture photos there with your photographer for up to 20 minutes.

Each Capture Your Moment session is $50.
When you book two Capture Your Moment sessions back-to-back for $100, you can spend up to 40 minutes with your photographer capturing photos. During your 40 minutes, you'll have the option to visit at least two photo locations.

Your Disney PhotoPass photographer will customise your photo shoot to your needs while using their creativity and personal style to take stunning photos.

Call 407-939-7758 to book a Capture Your Moment session. Capture Your Moment photo sessions are available starting February 10, 2020. A limited number of same-day reservations may be available starting February 10, but you must call 407-939-7758 to inquire.

Prints and digital downloads are not included with the price of a Capture Your Moment session. However, those with a Disney PhotoPass entitlement like Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day, as well as qualifying Annual Passholders with a Disney PhotoPass download benefit, can download the photos captured during Capture Your Moment from their Disney accounts at no extra cost.
