Kilimanjaro Safaris

Climb aboard your open-sided safari vehicle for an exciting expedition for the entire family. Watch animals roam freely across the 110 acre Harambe Wildlife Reserve of savannah, rivers and rocky hills.

Since animals have minds of their own, no two safaris are ever the same. You may even catch a glimpse of one of the many baby animals that were recently born in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. It's a wild adventure!

Although animals are typically more active in mornings and during cooler weather, Kilimanjaro Safaris has great animal viewing in both the morning and afternoon.

The bumpy ride begins as a 2 week animal safari, aboard "Simba 1". You will be guided through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve in Harambe East Africa. The natural East African rugged terrain, includes forest, wetlands and open bush country, the Serengeti Savanna!

With 34 exotic African animal species in the sanctuary, you're likely to see many animals, such as antelope, elephants, crocodiles, giraffe, gazelle, hippos, lions, cheetahs, rhinos, flamingos, okapis, and many more.

Your tour guide points out all the animals along the way, providing great entertainment too.

Kilimanjaro Safaris after Dark

All new experience available from 30 May 2016. Each evening, the popular Kilimanjaro Safaris daytime experience is artfully bathed in the glow of sunset with special lighting allowing guests to explore this attraction well into the night. During the expedition, guests can now encounter the nighttime behavior of the wildlife and better tune in to the unique vocalization of the animals. Plus, there are two new species to discover: African wild dogs and hyenas.

Up Close with Rhinos

New experience for 2018...commencing on the 1st November guests can take this one hour guided experience. This behind-the-scenes adventure shows how the dedicated animal team care for the white rhinos at the Animal Kingdom.

This experience is definitely one to book in advance as there is only one tour per day. The cost is $40 plus tax and guests must be over 4 years old.
