We normally hire a care, however the last time we went we were staying on Disney Property and decided to see what it would be like without using a car.

I was a bit apprehensive at first as I'm not someone who usually uses Bus transport. It turned out to be quite a pleasant experience. Catching the Disney Bus in the mornings wasn't a problem and there was very little wait. Catching the Bus in the evenings had a longer wait but it still wasn't too bad.

The buses can be crowded at peak times, standing room only, but the journey's are short, so again not a problem.

Overall I would definitely consider not hiring a car for future trips.

We used Disney Buses most of the time with the occasional Taxi ride to the Malls, Seaworld and Universal. The money we spent on the Taxis was far less than we would have spent on car hire.

Not having a car also meant I could very easily Park hop using the Disney Buses or even the Disney Boats. We had a very pleasant trip from Magic Kingdom to Boardwalk then to Epcot one day.

As it was the Food and Wine festival at EPCOT it was also nice for us to be able to enjoy some wine with our meal without having to worry about driving.
