For those that didn't read my pre trip report, this TR is about a BIG Florida Surprise that was more than a year in the making! There are 10 of us in total. Myself, my partner Jim, my daughter Hope who is 12, my son Sam who is 10, Jim's parents Bill and Sylvia, Jim's sister Helen, her husband Nick, son Sean 19 and daughter Jenny 13. For the purpose of this report they will be known as the Leans!
Bill and Sylvia have very very kindly booked and paid for our flights and villa, so without them this holiday would not be happening! They holiday in Florida at least once a year so real veterans of Orlando by now, but wanted one last holiday with the whole family.
Way back when we booked this holiday we decided it would be lovely if we left it as a surprise for the kids, hence the title. I have to say it's been one of the toughest things I've ever had to do, do you know how hard it is planning a once in a lifetime trip and not talk freely about it? ! They think we are going to the Alps in France where The Leans have an apartment, a very different kind of holiday!
Even though the 10 of us will be doing a lot of stuff together we do split up and do our own thing. For my own sanity I will be writing this report as just the 4 of us with the odd appearance from the others!
