BA 1402 flight delay

My sister was travelling from LHR to Manchester yesterday on BA1402 but due to computer problems and insufficient staffing, her flight was delayed just over 4 hours.
I am not sure if she has a case for compensation as it was a uk internal flight, Can anyone tell me if she can make a claim?

Yes she can claim, but it would depend on whose computer was down. If it was BAs then yes, ATCs then no.

She should have received an info leaflet at the airport regarding claiming if it was BA's systm failed & it must be over 4 hours delay arriving at your destination not leaving your departure airport.

Thanks for the replies! I dont think that she received anything from BA I will have to check with her, but she did say that the gate kept changing and that they were very short staffed and that when announcements were made they were shouted out as there were no microphones working, the electrics seemed to be down, and they couldnt board people as the scanners were not working!

I will find out more today before I take her to the airport to travel back down with BA ... eek
