The Trip that was never meant to happen!

As the title says, because of our Big First Orlando trip in October, our week off during the school hols was all about doing things on the cheap, so DLP was never really a consideration. The idea was to drive to London for a day or so, with a trip to legoland or alton Towers on the way back home using 2 for 1, or Sun vouchers. We always had some 1 day hoppers to use up, but i didnt think the chance wud arise, not for one day anyway, i already knew our Hull-Zee ferry was too dear, and i didnt want to drive, but then i got thinking... If i'm driving to London, then i'm nearly halfway there! , then i seemed to remember I could use Tesco vouchers for Eurotunnel, i looked at that and found i could get a Freebie 'Sameday/overnight' Crossing - so i could go early one day & come back late the next, Johanne didn't take much convincing, but I still wanted to do more than one day, so i needed the cheapest 1 day hopper i could find (Ebay) Magic e-ticket, and found a deal on Kyriad's own Website fro one night, (so no parking fee's, transfers included, bar, nice bed - sorted). Then Looked for cheapest & closest UK overnight hotels to the Eurotunnel terminal, got same hotel each way for £29 a night. For the journey home I didnt just want a long drive so we're breaking up the journey by calling into Woburn Safari Park. We considered doing some other Attractions - Howletts, Paradise Wildlife Park, but settled for Woburn as Johanne preferred to get some miles behind us. The kids still don't know, Dominic has discovered the 'New Generation Festival'Trailer on Youtube & watches it constantly, but the Dominic still thinks we're just going to London to 'visit Parks and see Towers' (YES - FREE! ), so looks like we'll just have to tell them on the tuesday morning!
