Just Back From Eight Day - Day 2

Monday 13th September 2010 - Day 2

Everyone was up early, down to breakfast for 7.30am, first to be seated! The breakfast was fantastic. Buffett style with ample choice..yum! Off to the Park!

Extra Magic Hours! Initially, you need to show your Hotel Pass to prove you are entitled to EMH, then get your park tickets ready for the gates. We were at the gates at 8.05am..fairly quiet.. straight through. The two lands that were open were Fantasyland & Discoveryland (but not all rides open for 8.00am). We headed for Fantasyland with Peter Pan's Flight in mind. As we walked along Main Street and through the Castle, it was almost like we had the park to ourselves! Yes really! ... there were only a handful of "early birds" around. We took some fab pics at this point and it looks like we are there alone. Great pics in front of the Castle and Main Street.

We got to Peter Pan's Flight and were straight on it. It was as wonderful as I remembered and our girls just loved it. As soon as we got off, we went straight back on, no waiting! We loved it so much, we had another couple of rides, again no waiting. Dumbo was also empty, no waiting, straight on for three or four rides. Next up, Mad Hatters Tea Cups (also not full). After a Carrousel ride, it was on to Discoveryland.

By this time, there were a few more people around using EMH, but still not many..everything fairly quiet. First up in Discoveryland, Buzzlight Year Laser Blasts. Wow.. fantastic! We rode the rockets (Orbitron). Me and younger daughter went on Laser Blasts again whilst hubby and eldest went on Space Mountain 2! They had 3 rides in a row with waiting time of only 5-10 mins. This is what EMH is all about!

After 10am its busier, more people around, but its still wonderful and calm. Nothing like the Sunday... so we are happy! Frontierland up next. We had a wander.. Big Thunder mountain was popular. We decided to get a fast passes with our park tickets, to use straight after using the daily fast pass tickets that you get for staying at the Disneyland Hotel We timed it well, we handed in our Hotel Fast Pass vouchers (these are dated, take the correct ones!) rode BTM, fantastic and we all went on again straight after with the Park Fast passes! Lots more fun had in Frontierland and Adventure land before 6pm when the Park closed. A fantastic day! Fab!

We had booked Inventions again at 6pm (nice and quiet) More Characters, pics and autographs. This time we met Tigger and Eeyore! Great!

We are thinking of going to Disneyland Paris next September. Can you recommend a quiet but clean Disney hotel? Also what are the prices like to eat etc;

Is there any tips I need to know, and who are the best to book with?
