Florida Road Trip ... Autism, Universal, beaches, Keys, Miami ... finally!

We are Vicki, Mark, Gem (20), Jack (10 with autism/adhd). This is our 9th Florida trip and very long awaited after we had to cancel last August, on the day before travel due to Mark catching sepsis and then spending 3 months in hospital at deaths door. So now he’s fit and well and we have much to be thankful for ... and we finally get to enjoy our Florida road trip... |

Not the best nights sleep but up at 6.45 and headed to the airport. Did the meet and greet parking and went to departures. Got directed to an express check in and were through in no time.

Had a lazy start and plenty of pool time in the morning. Liz pete and Sam were planning to play mini golf and go to Epcot, while we headed to Perkins for brunch. Can't remember what we had (that's what happens when I leave it 2 weeks to write up!) but it was reasonably priced and we were very full afterwards. |

Today we were taking advantage of our free (with ATD) airboat ride. Would have cost about $30 each so worth having.
Arrived about 11.20 and it was hot hot hot. The next available time was 12.35 so we had a bit of a wait. |

All woke up late after our busy time at universal and spent the most of the day by the pool. Rigged up a volley ball net and had a few games.
Richard cooked bacon and egg for brunch, we've not cooked as much as we expected do still have a lot of food in. |

Alarm set for silly o clock, we were on the road for 6 and arrived at RPR for 6.30. Got checked in, express passes and at the park gates for about 7.15. About 7.45 something amazing happened. |

The weather was much brighter when we woke this morning and hot hot hot. Left around 8 and were parked up at Epcot by 8.20. The park opened about 20 minutes early and we went straight to test track as we didn't have a FP for this and wanted to ride it. All packed up and ready to go. Not sure where they day went really. Was up early putting the finishing touches to my touring plans before changing the beds and cleaning the house. On line checkin took longer than I thought but boarding cards printed successfully and a bonus, our seats are now altogether.

Today we had fast passes booked for Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids and Kilimanjaro Safari. The first one wasn't until 1.20 so we weren't heading there until lunch time. We had a bit of time at the pool first.
