I don’t think you can do that. If you get better grades than predicted & needed for firm, you accept that place & then go through adjustment for a higher entry/ranked uni.

This sounds exactly like my nephew my poor sister is pulling her hair out!
I’m not sure uni is what he really wants. I think there’s quite high expectations these days for young people to go to uni.
