Can you still watch fireworks at the Polynesian resort beach?

Do you need a dinner reservation to enter the Polynesian resort to watch the fireworks from the beach? Or could you just go and have a drink or two? :) We are not stopping on property.

It's not just us then...don't feel so bad now. It certainly will feel odd without her but as others have said, at least there won't be any sibling squabbling and it certainly will be cheaper.:)

As I remember it's the time difference. They open at 7.00am their time, which is 12.00 (midday) our time. not sure about online as it has been a while since we went.

Amtrak train from San Fran to LA

Been looking into using the train to get from San Fran down to LA, stopping off on the way and it seems pretty reasonable. Has anyone had experince of using the train, if so what did you think?
