A few tears shed today

After almost 13 years in my job it was my final day today and there have been quite a few tears shed by myself and colleagues.
I’ve always known what lovely people they are and consider them to be more friends than colleagues but today I’m completely overwhelmed with the gifts and good wishes I’ve received.
An ex colleague called in to wish me luck in my new job and some even came in to see me on their day off.
I really can’t put into words how grateful I am for the gifts but more than that their friendship, I’m going to miss them all so much.

OP. Best of luck. I realised within a week of finishing work that I didn't miss it at all. I did however miss the people I worked with, well not the top boss as he was an idiot.

As above really. Except to know your friends must know you quite well. Booze, sweet treats, flowers and dollars - what's not to like!

It's really thoughtful of them, esp those that came in on their day off. Shows how much you are appreciated.
