BA/AA Indirect flights - what have you paid?

Hi I am considering BA/AA indirect flights to MCO from LHR. What have you previously paid for flights is stopping me pressing the button. What have you all previously paid for indirect BA/AA flights in August school holidays?

I’ve paid £1200 in 2017 for 2 adults and 2 children AA via PHL from MAN though not LHR.
Then £2400 in 2018 for 2 adults and 2 children this time including 17 days people carrier car hire.
This year I’m paying £3500, 2 adults, 2 children from LHR inc. 3 nights hotel and 10 days people carrier car hire.
All the above with BA and in school holidays.

We are also using VA in Feb for an indirect to Orlando via JFK so that might be worth a look too all flights are with Delta

I've booked indirect with other airlines, Lufthansa, United, Aer Lingus as well as BA all in the school summer holidays as well as direct flights. I've paid between £475 and £650 per person. Thus far all my flights have ended up at MCO. This year maybe we will go to Tampa or Miami if we can get good prices.
Hope that helps.

I have booked for next Easter School Hols.
AA flights, LHR to Toronto Pearson direct on 07 April and then Miami to LHR via JFK on 22 April. They were £490 including hold baggage.

Buffalo to MCO on 10 April (we want 3 days to see Toronto and Niagara ) is £120pp inc baggage with AA. We could have got slightly cheaper if we had purchased Toronto to MCO.

Total for school hols is thus £610 pp inc hold baggage including the ticking off of two items on my bucket list (Toronto and Niagara Falls) in the process.
All are booked directly with the Airline!

Hotels? 8 of them mainly through Ebookers with 7 nights at LBV Village resort & Spa in a 3 bedroom at £1050 booked direct.

Edited at 07:39 AM.

Thanks! In 2020 I paid £1700 indirect with United for 2 adults, 1 teen and 2 children. I think I just need to forget about this and accept that’s not going to happen this time round.

Thanks for the does help. I’m also looking at Tampa and Miami but the car hire cost is taking away the cost benefit of the other airports. I found a good deal on car hire in Orlando I’ve booked which is less than half the price I’ve seen anywhere else.

Thanks! I’m going to check out Toronto as that sounds a good option.

Have you stayed at LBV Resort before. Do you recommend it? We planned onsite for a week followed by a villa but the villa cost has more than doubled since last year.

Have you had a look at the pretrip in my signature? That may assist you in your decision making.

I have stayed at LBV Village etc etc before and really enjoyed it. The apartments are rather well equipped and spacious. The pool is good (as is the poolside bar). The carparking is under the blocks and thus nice and cool. There is a mall next door and restaurants plus Walmart nearby.

Although not a Disney fan myself, it is a short drive to WDW. It is also a short drive avoiding the I4 to the SW empire.

All in all I recommend it as a good, realistic alternative to a Villa (our normal selection). Apart from anything else, the communal aspect enables children to make friends by poolside.

Booked last night for September: 6th - 27th for £527pp including a 1 night hotel stay so I was able to use their £150 deposit option. When these dates were released they were over £600, so I'm quite pleased with what I've got.
