Thanks for the Facebook tip. I’ll give them the 48 hours to confirm one way or the other & if they still haven’t sorted it I’ll post. Don’t want to antagonise them yet!

Finally got the reference number this evening
We've logged in and booked our seats (alas only odd seats in the middle/next to the window left in the bubble, but hey ho!). Thanks for all the help, it was much appreciated. |

Glad it’s sorted!
If they asked to speak to my H my would’ve obliged by telling them to do one with their sexism! He is fully involved in the booking, but leaves the chatting to me a) because I love to chat but b) (and most importantly) because I’ve got a degree in tourism and studied modules in tourism law so he’d have a hard job brushing me off! xx

Yes, we're on the flights as agreed. We have the Virgin reference number and have logged in and booked seats. Presumably they sucked up the cost difference.
Apparently they had just made a mistake and wanted us to be understanding and accept an alternative. Which clearly would have worked the other way if I'd decided not to pay the full amount or something, because it works both ways right?! Anyway, glad it is sorted and we have been put off booking with anyone new/small again. |

There was a thread the other day about whether people prefer to book through a TA or DIY. Your experience is a perfect example as why I’d rather book DIY.
Glad you got it sorted OP! Now breathe and enjoy the build up to your amazing holiday! 😊 |

OP, still think you should name this company. Others need to be aware

If anyone wants to know they can message me and I'll tell them, I'm worried about antagonising the company just in case anything else goes wrong
One more thing, we gave them our credit card details to pay the balance but this was before the flights were sorted and it doesn't appear they've taken the payment because it hasn't appeared on my credit card statement online under pending transactions. Does anyone know how long it would take to appear (it is a Halifax Clarity if that is relevant)? They took the details on 18th April. Thanks |
