staying over at port canaveral

I have booked the Disney dream cruise for 8 December 2014 and land in Orlando on 7 December so thinking to drive down to port Canaveral on 7th and staying over there rather than in Orlando and driving down on the morning. Does anyone have any recommendations where to stay? Thanks

We stayed at the Radisson - there are a couple of pictures in my trip report (link in signature).

It was slightly odd but the shuttle was super convenient and the room was clean enough...

We've also done the Radisson a few times.

We like it because a) there is a couple of options for dinner so don't have to drive and b) if you get the Cruise n Stay package then you can leave the car there for the duration of your cruise rather than pay to park at the port.

We have stayed HERE at the Ron Jon's Resort a couple of times. It's a bit pricey, but it has lovely pool area and is close to the beach, hopefully we'll stay here again this year the night before our next cruise

Thanks all. I will have a look at the park and stay. Do you leave any luggage in the car that you wouldn't need on the cruise? Just wondering whether its safe or whether should just take it with us.
